My story — Crazy for the Cat — is set in the Amazon Rainforest. It is a short story about Jessica Morales, an ethnobotanist who goes to complete the mission of a murdered colleague and ex-lover. When she arrives, she discovers that she is in the midst of a war between a group of loggers decimating the rainforest and an Amazon tribe. One of the tribe’s guides, Javier Dias da Costa, tries Jessica’s patience to no end, but also tempts her in more ways than she would like to admit. But is she prepared to deal with the fact that he is something other than human?
