I loved Diego and his faithfulness to his lover when he first showed up in DANGER CALLS. I knew he had to have a happy ending after things went badly for him in that story. A Spanish nobleman who converted during the Inquisition, he was betrayed by his wife for his infidelity and died but vowed to be a better “man” as a vampire. Diego has truly kept that promise so his story was a pleasure to write! If I had to cast Diego in the movie version of BLOOD CALLS, I think the right actor would be Danilo Carrera.
