Today is National Clean Off Your Desk Day and I have a confession: I don’t have a desk. Well, not a desk with a top and legs. I use a lap desk for my laptop when I write or surf the Internet. I guess it’s because I used to do the bulk of my writing on the train during my daily commute to work. Then I would spend nearly ten hours at my desk at work and when I got home, the last thing I wanted to do was sit at a desk. When I retired, there wasn’t an easy way to set up my office with a desk, and in truth, that didn’t matter to me because I like being able to move around and decide where to write. Especially in the summer, when I sit in the backyard or go up on my little balcony to write. What about you? Do you have a desk that needs cleaning off today? P.S.
