I rolled over this morning and our thermometer said that it was only 9.9 degrees outside. It’s warmed up a little. It’s 12 now! LOL! When the weather gets like this, I love nothing better than a big bowl of soup, chili, or some other hearty dish. Ropa vieja, a Cuban dish of shredded beef, is a good choice as well. What about you? What is your favorite winter comfort food and does it have any special meaning for you? My mom used to make me a very special stew and I haven’t had it in years. It’s a balmy -5 here and it makes me want to make soups, stews and chili. This cold out I am actually wanting comfort food.
