Is Friday the 13th really unlucky? Do you believe it’s an unlucky date? There are several explanations for why so many believe it is! Some say it has to do with the number 13, which is considered unlucky. In the last few years, my hubby has become much more conscious of all things 13 (I won’t tell him our balcony is 13 feet wide, and each of our sets of stairs has 13 steps!) According to Wikipedia, in Norse legends, it involves a dinner to which Loki was not invited. There were already 12 gods there, and when Loki arrived (#13), mayhem ensued. There were 13 people at the Last Supper, which was held on Thursday the 13th. Then there is the massacre of the Knights Templar on Friday the 13th on the orders of King Philip of France! Lots of bad things, but I’m not so superstitious. How about you? P.S. Hope you have a great weekend, and if you’re in the Atlantic City area, please drop by the Aces Wild book event at the Convention Center.
