A New Project and Request for a Little Help

I have a new project that I plan on releasing on Kindle Vella for you! It’s a story of my heart since it speaks to the power of love, resilience, and the bonds between women. The title of the book is Sunshine After Rain and I can’t wait for you to read it! But before you do, here’s a teaser for it and a request for a little help picking the cover for the book. Do you like version A, B, or C?

Welcome to a quaint Jersey Shore town and the lives of three women, each on a unique journey. Olivia, a young widow, is bravely raising her six-year-old son. Her loyal bestie, Maggie, is a single mom with a bundle of joy. And then there’s Olivia’s mother-in-law Maeve, who after losing her husband, finds solace in helping Olivia and Maggie – her cherished girls. It’s a tale of hope and heartache, resilience and renewal, as these three women learn to embrace life and love once more.

Happy Halloween

I’m so excited for tonight’s trick-or-treaters! I adore seeing the mini monsters, pretty princesses, and spooky superheroes parading around. I also love seeing the grown-ups who can’t resist joining the costume craze. My own cherished Halloween memories take me back to the fun Halloween Hop at my daughter’s elementary school, where everyone, young and old, donned costumes and played games, won prizes, and trick-or-treated in the halls. How about you? Any wickedly fun Halloween memories to share?

Halloween Candy Wars

I live in a divided house during the Halloween Candy Wars. My son-in-law and I are team Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups while hubby is a loyal Milky Way bar fan. My daughter is a wildcard with her love of Milk Duds. Our sneaky Halloween trick? We totally rifle through the candy stash before the trick or treaters arrive, snatching up our favorite treats. Come on, don’t pretend you don’t do the same! So, what’s your all-time favorite Halloween treat, and are you a candy sneak like us?

Rain Brings Life

Looks like the Jersey Shore is in for a soaking! But rainy days can be a breath of fresh air after a long sunny streak. Rain brings life, and for me, it’s an opportunity to recharge my batteries. I’m usually the Energizer Bunny, but on rainy days, I finally slow down. What’s on my rainy day agenda? Reading a steamy romance, bingeing on true-crime docs, sneaking in a nap, or maybe even convincing my hubby to play a board game like Rummikab. (He’s not the biggest fan, but as a kid, board games were a rainy day staple!) And of course, who can resist a little singin’ in the rain? So, what about you? What’s your go-to on a rainy day?

Summer has photobombed the end of October selfie

OMG! I can’t believe it! Summer has photobombed the end of October selfie with a big bang! It reminds me of that Halloween when we got slammed with a blizzard, and let’s not even mention Hurricane Sandy. But I’m not complaining about this unexpected heatwave, especially since my batch of tomatoes could use the kiss of the sun to ripen. Hubby and I are getting our tan on at the beach today, and I hope you’ve got something awesome planned too!

To Release or Not To Release? That is the Question?

When I first wrote Darkness Calls, my vampire romantic suspense novel, it was longer and grittier with more scenes with the serial killer. FBI Agent Diana Reyes and sexy Southern vampire Ryder Latimer were also edgier and their romance was more intense. A lot of that had to be cut due to length and content requirements for the New York City publisher who bought the book. So the question is: To release or not to release that original version? Inquiring minds want to know. Would you read that longer, more intense version of the novel?
