Man Candy Monday Decoy Training

Decoy Training was special for me because not only does hero veteran Shane get his HEA, military widow Piper also gets to find her happiness. Since it’s a K-9 story so does Decoy, the stray dog befriended by our hero Shane. Decoy helped rescue Shane after an IED exploded and buried Shane in the rubble of the building where he was training fellow soldiers. As for Decoy’s Happily-Ever-After, not only does he get to live a life as a rescue dog, but he gets to meet Piper’s new pup Chipper. Happiness all around! If I had to cast someone to play Shane in a movie, I think it would be Jake Gyllenhall! I’ve liked Jake since we first saw him in October Sky.

Asbury Park and Bradley Beach Fireworks

Because of bad weather, the Asbury Park fireworks were postponed until last night which was the night for the Bradley Beach fireworks. The towns along this part of the Jersey Shore try to spread the fireworks to different days which we love because it means lots of fireworks to watch! In the photos, you can see the Asbury Park fireworks which are the ones closer to the horizon and smaller. The bigger ones are from Bradley Beach since we were closer to them. Happy 4th of July!

Great News About a New Series

In December I have a new series from Harlequin Intrigue featuring a family-run agency: South Beach Security. I’m happy to say that I just accepted an offer to do another 4 books in the series featuring the agency’s K-9 partners! Thank you to my amazing editors at Harlequin for this wonderful opportunity and to my agent for always believing in me!

Writing is its own reward

Henry Miller said that “Writing is its own reward” and I would add that writing conferences are lots of fun too! I had a great time at the Space Coast Book Lovers Conference and would recommend it to both writers and readers. I met a lot of really nice people and had a great time at the various events that were held as well as the book signing. Writers are often a solitary lot and it was nice to be able to break out of that and engage with people. I came back recharged and ready to get started on some new projects, especially some new K-9 stories. I loved including the dogs in Decoy Training and am hoping to write more stories featuring law enforcement officers and their dogs!

Happy Times and a Book Signing!

I’ve been having a fabulous time at the Space Coast Book Lovers Conference. There have been lots of fun events for both readers and writers and it’s been great to get to meet so many new people. This morning we have an Author Feud game going on and then later the big book signing. If you’re in the Cocoa Beach area, the signing is open to the public from 3 pm to 5 pm in the Convention Center. There are over 80 authors with books in romance, paranormal, mystery, YA, children’s, Urban Fantasy, LGBT, SciFi, erotica, thrillers, Chick Lit, suspense, and more! I’m all ready for the book signing and I hope you can make it!

Exciting to Meet New Friends!

One of the things I missed the most during the pandemic was being able to go to conferences and make new friends! Now that it’s over, I’m glad to be able to attend wonderful events like the Space Coast Book Lovers Conference and make new friends as well as catch up with old friends. Yesterday we had an author networking session and also a fabulous meet and greet where I got to hang out with some new peeps. Here’s a picture of me with Dee, Mona, and Michelle! Dee and Michelle are fellow romance authors and Mona provides website help. We had a nice time over dinner and got to know each other better. I also met some lovely other authors and readers and found out about more conferences in other states. I see lots of road trips in the future for me! LOL!
