Hard Years at My Old Job
I retired at the end of 2019 and hubby thought it would be fun to show how the years at my old job had been hard on me! LOL! Obviously, this is my daughter visiting with me. If I had to work on a Saturday, it wasn’t unusual for me to take my daughter to the office. She would sit and color or play with toys for a few hours and after, we would have an adventure in the city. Many years later, when my daughter started working in NYC as well, we would also get together after work to do something fun.
Awesome chat with RaeAnne Thayne
I was so lucky to be able to chat with the fabulous RaeAnne Thayne about The Family She Never Met! It was awesome to be with her and answer her fan’s questions about the book and the writing process. You can watch the video below.

Military Hero Shane Adler from Decoy Training
I love writing stories about military heroes because I love to see them get their happily-ever-afters. The hero in Decoy Training, Shane Adler, is a Marine who was wounded in Afghanistan and is forced to leave the military due to his injuries. Trying to rebuild his life, Shane heads off to visit a friend with Decoy, a dog Shane had befriended overseas and who saved his life when Shane was trapped beneath the rubble of a building destroyed by an IED. Shane’s visit to his friend inspires Shane to consider a new life as part of a K-9 rescue group, but to do that, Shane has to train Decoy. That’s where Piper Lambert comes into the picture. Piper is a highly regarded dog trainer whose Army husband was killed in battle. She’s not looking for love and involvement, but Shane is just too hard to resist. This is how I picture Shane after he finds his happily-ever-after with Piper, Piper’s pup Chipper, and Decoy!
Video Premiere for Decoy Training
I had a blast writing Decoy Training! It was so much fun to learn all about training dogs and to weave that into the story of two wounded people who are thrown together when danger lands on their doorstep. Decoy Training is the first book in the K-9s on Patrol Series. There will be six books in the series and each is a standalone story with an uplifting ending! Even better, you can read a prequel and meet all the characters in Deadly Chase, a free read at Harlequin.com.

My Gallego Great-Grandparents
My maternal grandmother’s family was considered to be more well-off in Galicia since my great-grandfather was apparently a blacksmith. They had a home they called Villa Nueva and my grandmother had several brothers and sisters. Two of them were twins that my great-grandmother had much later in life. My grandmother would tell stories of how she had to care for them as a young teen. Although we have been able to track down the Gonzalez side of the family, I’m not familiar with my grandmother’s Caride/Freijido side.
