One of our favorite holiday traditions is trekking out to the Christmas tree farm to chop down our tree and then trimming it together. The final addition to the tree is always the angel on top. It’s not a fancy angel, but it was one of the first things hubby and I bought together at a local Woolworth’s for our first Christmas.

It’s up to my hubby and our daughter to sit that angel at the tippy top of the tree. Here’s some photos of them finishing our Christmas tree.

#ManCandyMonday It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

December 1. I’m already in panic mode about the upcoming Christmas holiday. I don’t have a list. Forget about checking it twice. I really need to start prepping the house for the big Christmas Eve bash and think about all the gifts for my friends and family.

Luckily, I have a helper for all this! He’s even decked out in part of his Santa suit so it’s helping me get in the holiday spirit. What do you think? Is he a good choice for Man Candy Monday?

Happy happy Thanksgiving!

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is here! I love this time of year with the changing colors of the leaves and the smell of wood burning in fireplaces. I also love being able to spend some time with family, gathered around the table, sharing all the things for which we are thankful.

In that spirit, I want to say, I am thankful for all of you who take the time to come by every day! THANK YOU!

I will be back on Monday with some delicious Man Candy. For now, here’s a photo that I snapped of Macy’s in Herald Square. They are all ready for the Thanksgiving parade tomorrow and the start of the Christmas season. Sigh. I really must make my list and start to get ready. First thing on my plate: Getting the Christmas village up next week.

#FreebieFriday #FreeRead Take a Chance #Boxset

Boy am I thankful for Friday. It has been a trying week and I want to thank all of you for your well wishes and support. I’m doing much better today. Feeling better and the tree is gone. Handymen are on their way to give quotes for fixing the damage to the house and deck. I’ve got my laptop running again and hubby suprised me with an upgrade to my phone! Yeah. Still getting used to it, but I love that it’s bigger so my clumsy fingers can type better.

I’m sharing this free read from the Take a Chance box set. As I mentioned, I’m working on number 4 in the series, Stay the Night, and trying to think about who should be in the fifth story. I mentioned in One Last Night that Maggie has a sister in the service. I’m thinking it may be time for another story with a female service member. What do you think?
