Happy National Black Forest Cake Day

Happy National Black Forest Cake Day! What could be better than a taste of tart cherries, chocolate cake, and whipped cream? A few years ago, we actually were able to eat Black Forest Cake in the Black Forest during one of our river cruise locations. We were lucky enough to visit a living history village ???? in the Blac k Forest to see how people actually lived in this area. It was a lovely day, strolling around the village and seeing the recreations of how different tools and foods were made. I’m sharing some photos from that visit! P.S. I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned Black Forest Cake in a book! LOL! But if you want to get into some summer vibes early, how about picking up ONE SUMMER NIGHT for a taste of the Jersey Shore? It’s only 99 cents at https://amzn.to/4rYU36s.

Wonderful Book Launch Party

Last night I went to a wonderful book launch party held by one of my local friends, Diane Crecca, to celebrate the release of her debut novel, THE NOSE KNOWS. It’s a cozy mystery set on the Jersey Shore about a woman whose unique and powerful sense of smell helps her solve crimes. If there’s anyone who knows about the power of smell, it’s Diane, who is a professional nose. Yes, you read that right. Diane has worked for many years with an assortment of companies to create and test fragrances because of her amazing sense of smell. Makes her the perfect person to write a book like THE NOSE KNOWS. I’m sharing some photos from last night’s fun event! If you love cozy mysteries with a unique heroine, grab your copy today of this and Diane’s companion cocktail recipe book at https://amzn.to/4sDHOxn.

Happy Visit to Authors Rocking Little Rock 2026

My daughter and I are always looking for book signings in different places because we love meeting new people and seeing other parts of the country. I also have a goal to visit every state, and now have just 11 to go! My daughter wants to do a book signing in every state, so if you have any fun events near you, we’d love to hear about them! These are book signing photos from Authors Rocking Little Rock. We had a lovely time, and it was interesting to see new parts of the country. The mountains were lovely, and so were the cities of Knoxville and Little Rock. We’re definitely thinking about more events in this part of the country! P.S. I had print books of my Marauders Baseball Romance Box set at the event, and I will have them at future book signings. If you’d like to find out where my daughter and I will be in the future, please visit https://www.caridad.com/meet-me/events/. You can get the box set and several of my other books for FREE on Kindle Unlimited. Grab your copies at https://amzn.to/4ukO4Lv.

Do you love Grumpy Heroes or Sweetheart Heroes?

The Grumpy/Sunshine trope has become very popular, but I confess that I still prefer sweetheart heroes like Mark Dillon from BURIED TRUTHS. Mark is a K-9 police officer on a hike when an injured and very confused woman stumbles into his path. Mark jumps into action, only to discover that the woman can’t remember her name or anything about why she’s there. She only knows that she’s in danger. Mark’s protective instincts kick in, and even after it appears that she’s a criminal, he can’t stop caring about her because he’s a really good guy. A sweetheart. Just the kind of hero I like. What about you? Do you like grumpy heroes or sweetheart heroes? P.S. You can pre-order your copy of BURIED TRUTHS today at https://amzn.to/4sHrpb9.

Happy National Cheesesteak Day

I confess that I’d never had cheesesteaks regularly before going to college, but now they’re one of our favorites, and we have some good cheesesteak places near us. However, our fav place is a hole-in-the-wall eatery called The Dog House in New Castle, DE. It’s a tiny place with just counter service, but my family has been going there for decades. At first it was for the foot-long hot dogs, but then we tried out their cheesesteaks and loved them. Of course, there are the Philly places that are also great. Pat’s, Geno’s, and my daughter’s favorite, Dallesandros! What about you? Do you love cheesesteaks? P.S. Even though it’s not typical baseball stadium food, why not grab a cheesesteak while you cheer on your favorite team? Of course, you can also eat one while you read the Marauders baseball romances, as well as several other of my books for FREE on Kindle Unlimited. First Trip to Arkansas

We’re on a road trip to Arkansas for the Authors Rocking Little Rock book event. It’s our first time in Arkansas, and we’ve passed some beautiful areas during our road trip. Our first stop was halfway in Knoxville, TN, after a ten-hour drive from NJ. We had dinner at Barrelhouse BBQ, and it was delicious! The brisket was amazingly tender and tasty. The next morning, we were up bright and early and driving through the mountains to finally reach Little Rock. Along the way, we saw some beautiful mountain scenery and discovered that part of Tennessee was in EDT, while the other was in CDT. Weird, right? Imagine working in one time zone, but living in another! Anyway, when we reached Little Rock, we unloaded, had a little rest, and then went out to dinner. I had seen a restaurant on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and we went to Downtown Little Rock to eat at Bruno’s Little Italy. “Italian in Little Rock?” you might say. The food and ambiance were delicious. When we got back to the hotel, we set up our tables for today’s book signing. If you’re in the Little Rock area, I hope you can come to the Embassy Suites Hotel for the event. General Admission starts at noon! I’ll have my new Marauders Baseball Romance there. So exciting! P.S. You can read the Marauders baseball romances as well as several others for FREE for you on Kindle Unlimited. Grab your copies of my KU books at https://amzn.to/4ukO4Lv.

Do You Love Small-Town Romance or Sports Romance?

There are so many different romance tropes that romance readers love, and I think two of the most popular ones are small-town romance and sports romance. Now, some of you may ask, is that why I wrote the Marauders baseball books? Actually, I wrote them years ago and only got the rights back. But because of other obligations, I didn’t get to revise and release them until last month. I love both small-town and sports romances, and I’m not sure I could pick one over the other. What about you? Do you love small-town romances, sports romances, or both? P.S. You can read the Marauders baseball romances as well as several others for FREE on Kindle Unlimited. P.S. My daughter and I are on a road trip to the Authors Rocking Little Rock event, and we’ll hopefully be posting photos from the road trip and the book signing. If you’ll be in the area, we’d love to see you on Saturday, March 21, from 11 to 4 pm at the Embassy Suites hotel in Little Rock!
