Happy Baseball Vibes

Happy Sunday! Hubby and I would regularly sit and watch a baseball game, either live or on TV. It’s gotten harder now that we’ve switched teams. Hubby is busy following Alonso and the Orioles, while I’m following Nimmo and the Rangers. We can catch those games every now and then, but not as often as we did with the team that shall not be named. LOL! Exciting Tall Ships Trip

When I heard the Tall Ships would be in town to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday, I knew I had to go see them! We took off from the marina on a blazing hot day, but luckily it cooled off once the boat was moving and we were on the ocean! We reached Sandy Hook Harbor in about an hour, and if the name Sandy Hook sounds familiar, it’s because I’ve mentioned that many of the scenes in my upcoming release, K-9 TRACKER, take place on Sandy Hook. It was awesome to travel around all the tall ships, although there were many boats doing the same thing. There were close to two dozen of the tall ships in the harbor, but the smaller boats were already in New York Harbor for a parade. Unfortunately, they closed down New York Harbor after we arrived at Sandy Hook, so we weren’t able to see those boats. I hope you enjoy these videos of the tall ships! Happy National Sugar Cookie Day!

Happy National Sugar Cookie Day! I think I love sugar cookies better than chocolate chip. I especially love snickerdoodles, which I think are a variation on a plain sugar cookie. The Evolution of a Writer

I wonder sometimes what it is that makes someone want to be a writer. For me, it was a 5th-grade assignment to write a book for a class lending library. I started writing and never stopped. My daughter started writing stories in her journals when she was in middle school. I always involved her with my writing in various ways, from attending my book signings to helping out at our writers’ conference. When she finally told me she had written a book, I was over the moon and so proud. She’s written several now and is an Amazon bestselling author! Recently, she took her little one to her first in-store book signing. He loves to scribble in journals, and it makes me wonder: Will he find the spark to write a book in the future? Happy National Fried Chicken Day

Happy National Fried Chicken Day! I love fried chicken, but I confess we don’t eat it very often because we don’t do fried foods at home anymore. The most I muster is breaded chicken cutlets in our toaster oven, which has an air fry function. They come out pretty well, but they’re just not the same as fried. Occasionally, especially if we’re down South, we’ll get fried chicken at a restaurant, and nom nom. So tasty. What about you? Do you love fried chicken? P.S. Looking for a beach read?
