Thoughtful Thursday – Blast Update
Well, the building has told us that tests on the air quality do not reveal any contaminants, although maybe we should have known that before coming in.
The uneasy feeling is that outside they are wrapping up all the cars that were in the area of the blast and carting them away. Wicked Wednesday – Wicked Dancing at the Harlequin Party
One of the most fun things about the conference are the publishers’ parties. I went to the Pocket party which was absolutely wonderful. Intimate dining at a top notch restaurant. Wonderful discussion around a table of ten. The publicity people made these beautiful name badges which looked like miniature versions of our books. It was awesome.
Then there was the Harlequin party! Hundreds of authors and industry professionals. Harlequin started the night by presenting awards for authors who had done 25 books for them and another author who had done 75 books for them. WOW! 75 books!!!
