Sad Saturday Vibes

So sorry for not posting yesterday but it turned into quite a day. My phone had been acting up for days, badly, and we decided it was time to get a new one since it was several years old. Picked up the latest model, got some nice upgrades, but also lost a free subscription to some of our streaming services even though we were told we could keep them. Sigh. Then the brakes went on my car. Luckily it was as we were parking, but we’ll have to have it towed and see if it can be repaired. But at least today is a warm day with hints of sun before we get a heavy rainstorm. The rain is welcome for all the spring flowers and my camellia. Also, I have lots of plants blooming in the house. One of my air plants, my maxilarria orchid which is the dark purply one in the photo. The bloom is only about an inch and a half big. Then a bigger orchid, reblooming. Happy flowers! Hope you had a better weekend than I did! P.S. Only 3 days until spring!!!

Happy Wearing of the Green

When I went to college at Villanova, there were many people of Irish descent. That meant celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day was a big event. In the cafeteria, they would offer corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread, green-frosted cookies and sweets, and green milk to wash it all down. Yes, they would add food color to the milk to make it green. Which has me wondering, what kind of green food will you eat for St. Patrick’s Day? P.S. I’m getting ready to send out a new newsletter soon that’ll have something fun for you! To sign up, please visit https://bit.ly/CaridadsNewsletter.

Do you love cold case stories?

I’m busy pounding away on the keys to finish #4 in the Crooked Pass Security series (no title at this time) and I’m itching to start on a new three-book series for Harlequin Intrigue. I haven’t decided on the theme for that series, but I’m leaning toward it being about Crooked Pass Security helping detectives solve cold cases. I just love cold case shows! What do you think about that? Would you love a romantic suspense series about cold case files? P.S. The first book in the Crooked Pass Security series — CLIFFSIDE KIDNAPPING — hits shelves on July 1. Happy National Plant a Flower Day

It’s National Plant a Flower Day not that I need a special day to plant a flower. I love planting flowers and veggies in my garden. One of my favorite flowers is the pansy. They come in so many colors and are so hardy. I pull out the summer annuals in September and plant my winter pansies that last through even the coldest days and are now starting to bloom again before any other flowers (except maybe the snowdrops). What about you? Do you have a fav flower? P.S. Speaking of favs and flowers, check out one of my favorite stories – MORE THAN A MISSION – which features a chef who is accused of poisoning a prince with one of the plants in her garden. For new friends, a little about me!

In the last few months, I’ve had many new newsletter subscribers and followers who may not know much about me. Thanks to my wonderful friend Stacey Wilk, who came up with this idea, I’ve made a short video to give you the highlights of my writing life so you can learn a little about me. P.S. You can grab a copy of any of my 70+ books at https://amzn.to/3XFPr8W.

Chase Away the Monday Blues

When I had my full-time job, I sometimes had the Monday blues about going to work. Actually, they would start on Sunday morning, LOL! I always tried to overcome them by thinking positive thoughts and things that brought me joy, like my garden and writing. Now that I’m writing full-time, I never get the Monday blues! I look forward to sitting down and working on my latest book. Nowadays it’s #4 in the Crooked Pass Security Series (as yet untitled). I also love when hubby comes through the door with the little grandbaby and we spend time together. He’s a happy baby that always makes me smile and laugh! What about you? If you get the Monday blues, how do you chase them away?

Who hates losing that hour?

It’s time to spring ahead an hour for Daylight Savings Time! I absolutely hate losing that hour because it means I lose an hour of my early morning writing time. Why do I lose an hour? Because I end up getting up at 7 instead of 6 no matter how hard I try. Sigh. What about you? Are you okay with losing the hour or do you want your hour back?
