This Shoutout Saturday I want to give a big thanks to RaeAnne Thayne for her kind words about ONE SUMMER NIGHT, my Publishers Weekly Top 10 romance! I also want to give a shoutout to her upcoming June release The Lost Book of First Loves. I love RaeAnne’s books and I can’t wait to read it! From New York Times bestselling author RaeAnne Thayne comes a brand-new story about two women, a family secret and a lost manuscript that changes everything…

Raised by her literary icon father Carson Wells, Alison Wells always felt loved, even though her mother died when she was a teen. But when she takes a DNA test on a whim and discovers she has a sister she never knew about, it’s clear there are things her father didn’t tell her before he died. Determined to meet Juniper—her half sister—and unravel the truth of what happened all those years ago, Ali finds herself taking a job as Juniper’s intern. She’ll eventually figure out a way to tell Juniper the truth of their relationship. But she never could have imagined what would happen next…

Juniper Connolly has always been incredibly healthy…until she wakes up in the hospital after experiencing cardiac arrest, with her new—and recently fired—intern to thank for saving her life. It’s clear June needs to de-stress her life a little, so when Ali offers her the use of her family’s cabin in a small Wyoming town, June has no reason not to go. But when she arrives, her life will never be the same.

Under the wide-open spaces of the Wyoming summer sun, Ali and June will untangle the secrets and lies their lives were built on to discover who they really are and what family really means. But even more than that, they’ll build a real relationship with one another and finally become sisters.

Happy Flower Friday!

Happy Flower Friday! I don’t know if that’s really a thing but I think it should be! LOL. My sis and I did our annual pilgramage to the Philadelphia Flower Show and we had a great time. The show’s theme this year was the Gardens of Tomorrow and there were many examples of gardens exploring different ways of gardening. The exhibits were smaller in size than in past years. That seems to be the trend. I miss the larger exhibits but I guess it’s too expensive to create them. There were many beautiful gardens and I loved seeing the homegrown plants being judged for the show, especially the mini-gardens. I took over one hundred photos for you and will share them in parts over the next few Fridays! Today I picked some of my favorites, namely flowers from bulbs. I hope you enjoy them.

This or That: Talk or Cuddle

One of the hardest things about writing romance novels is writing the love scene. There are so many things to think about. First, when is the right time to do it so it’s believable. Next, you need to make it unique to the characters in that story. Then, just how sexy will it be. Will it be hot and sizzling or a slow, seductive burn? Of course, then there’s the after. Will they talk or will they cuddle? What do you like to see? The talk or the cuddle? Inquiring minds want to know! P.S. If you like sweet with a slow burn, check out SOUTH BEACH LOVE, my novel that became a Hallmark Original Movie. Meet K-9 Delilah from Cliffside Kidnapping

I’m so excited about my upcoming Crooked Pass Security series! I loved introducing you to tech geniuses Sophie and Robbie Whitaker in COLD CASE REOPENED and bringing them back to Colorado for their happily-ever-afters with the Crooked Pass Security series. The first book in the series belongs to Sophie who meets her match in Colorado Bureau of Investigation Agent Ryder Hunt. Ryder is ex-military and a real alpha but he’s a softie when it comes to his rescued K-9 Delilah. Much like Delilah stole Sampson’s heart, this cute corgi has stolen Ryder’s. He rescued her after her gig as a K-9 agent didn’t work out as planned. We tried to get a corgi on the cover but it just didn’t fit in with the high-intensity action in this story as Sophie and Ryder work to find out who kidnapped Sophie and Robbie’s NSA parents. CLIFFSIDE KIDNAPPING hits shelves on July 1, 2025, but you can pre-order your copy today at https://amzn.to/40DMYhB.

Share your fav reading spot!

I don’t have a lot of time to read between writing deadlines, babysitting the new grandbaby, and just life in general. But I try to sneak it in and in the summer, I do get a few hours to just lounge under the umbrella and read. While I was in Florida, I snapped this photo of my friend’s lovely backyard. I can totally picture just curling up on a chaise longue, cold drink by my side, and a book in my hand. What about you? What’s your fav reading spot (either real or a wish spot)? Share a photo if you can! P.S. If you love beach reads, grab a copy of ONE SUMMER NIGHT which is specially priced at 99 cents at https://amzn.to/4bAG14B.

Happy Read Across America Day

Wishing you a very Happy Read Across America Day! It’s a day to crack open a book and read and I know that this group of people knows what amazing things can be found in the pages of a book. During my entire life, books have transported me to new places and brought so many wonderful emotions. I can’t imagine not reading especially today. Why today? Well, it’s also the birthday of Dr. Seuss. I lovingly remember reading many Dr. Suess books and can say that they were a big reason I became such an avid reader. P.S. If you haven’t cracked open on of my books, today’s the day to do that. You can find over 70 romance novels and novellas in various genres at https://amzn.to/41DCpLK.
