Happy 25th Anniversary Giveaway

It’s been a rollercoaster ride in my writing career but no matter what, I wouldn’t trade it for anything since it’s let me meet so many wonderful people. As I mentioned earlier, I’m having a very special g*veaway through my newsletter to celebrate those 25 years in publishing. To find out how to enter, please sign up for my newsletter at https://bit.ly/CaridadsNewsletter. Contest will be open until midnight EST October 31. While you’re busy signing up, don’t forget about the upcoming December release of DANGER IN DADE, #4 in the South Beach Security K-9 Division spinoff. I’m so excited about this second chance at love romantic suspense. This story is action-packed with car and boat chases, but also emotionally uplifting and romantic as a soldier and a chef get a chance to make things right.

Happy National Fluffernutter Day

According to NewEngland.com, we owe the existence of the Fluffernutter to Archibald Query who developed the recipe for the marshmallow creme that would become Fluff, a New England product. But it wasn’t until the 1960s that the Fluffernutter sandwich was born. A sweet and nutty combo of peanut butter and Fluff sandwiched between two layers of bread, it was always a hit whenever our mom or grandmom let us have a Fluffernutter for lunch! What about you? Do you love Fluffernutters? P.S. I can say without a doubt that I have never included a Fluffernutter in one of my books! LOL. But I do want to share that there are only 49 days until the release of KILLER IN THE KENNEL, #3 in the South Beach Security K-9 Division spinoff! All the books in the series are standalone but with connected characters. You can pre-order your copy at https://amzn.to/3Yb6YGJ.

Fun Choice: Adventurer or Homebody

This is a tough one for me to choose. I love traveling, seeing new places, and meeting new people. The downside: I hate flying but it’s a necessary evil. As much as I love being an adventurer, I also love being a homebody and curling up with a good book on my couch or binge-watching a television show. What about you? Are you an adventurer, a homebody, or a little bit of both? P.S. If you love stories with adventurers, check out THE FIFTH KINGDOM which is specially priced at 99 cents. You can grab your copy at https://amzn.to/4gVHcxx. If you love stories that tug at the heart and have very special dogs, then KILLER IN THE KENNEL is for you! Fun at Fall in Love with New England

I had a lovely time at the Fall in Love with New England Conference. It was great to spend time with some familiar friends and make new ones. We had a blast with our Mystery Panel (I was the murderer – Mwah-ha-ha) as well as several others. The Halloween party was fun and there were some exceptional costumes there, including two book fairies! One of the panels I attended was a craft panel and it was fun to make some bookmarks.

My Exciting RITA Nomination

One of the most exciting things to happen during my 25 year career in publishing was to be nominated for the Romance Writer of America’s RITA for Best Paranormal Romance. The RITAs were the equivalent of the Oscars in the romance world and RWA would have a huge awards show for the nominees. This is a photo of my editor and me at the awards show. The book nominated was THE LOST, the third book in the Sin Hunter series. It is one of my fav books and if I ever have time, I’d love to do another book in that series. In THE LOST, an ancient race with unusual powers has finally found a long-lost son who must help them battle their enemies. If you love stories about ancient races and unique powers, please check out THE FIFTH KINGDOM, another of my fav books. It’s specially priced at 99 cents for a limited time. Grab your copy today at https://amzn.to/3NhsF1r.
