I’m busy pounding away on the keys to finish #4 in the Crooked Pass Security series (no title at this time) and I’m itching to start on a new three-book series for Harlequin Intrigue. I haven’t decided on the theme for that series, but I’m leaning toward it being about Crooked Pass Security helping detectives solve cold cases. I just love cold case shows! It’s National Plant a Flower Day not that I need a special day to plant a flower. I love planting flowers and veggies in my garden. One of my favorite flowers is the pansy. They come in so many colors and are so hardy. I pull out the summer annuals in September and plant my winter pansies that last through even the coldest days and are now starting to bloom again before any other flowers (except maybe the snowdrops). I don’t have a lot of time to read between writing deadlines, babysitting the new grandbaby, and just life in general. But I try to sneak it in and in the summer, I do get a few hours to just lounge under the umbrella and read. While I was in Florida, I snapped this photo of my friend’s lovely backyard. I’m so excited about finishing COLD CASE K-9, #3 in the Crooked Pass Security series. This was a heart-tugging but also scary story to write. Colorado Bureau of Investigation agent Gabriella Ruiz is asked to assist in finding a missing hiker and Gabriella believes the hiker may have been taken by the serial killer who also took her sister nearly a decade earlier. The hero, Diego Rodriguez, is a new K-9 handler for Crooked Pass Security and he’s been asked to help since the CBI isn’t sure about Gabriella’s serial killer theory. Together with his K-9, German Shepherd Poppy, Diego will help Gabriella with the investigation and with handling the truth about her sister’s disappearance.
