Video Premiere for Lost in Little Havana

Hoping to have a little fun this Friday with the video premiere for Lost in Little Havana! I can’t believe release day is nearly here (only 46 more days!) and I hope you will enjoy meeting the Gonzalez family and their South Beach Security agency. The first book in the series features Trey Gonzalez and Roni Lopez, two Miami Beach police detectives who must solve a murder, find missing coeds, and prevent Roni from being killed! It’s an action-packed story set in and around Little Havana, South Beach, and Downtown Miami. You can pre-order your copy at https://amzn.to/36KrDcR.

Awesome Latina Heritage Author Panel

I’m taking part in an author panel with Isabel Cañas, Romina Garber, and Priscilla Oliveras. Many thanks to the Ashland Public Library and Bank Square Books for providing us with this opportunity to talk about our books! I am looking forward to chatting with these authors about how we create characters and plots and also about how we represent our various cultures in our stories, like those in The Family She Never Met. I hope you’ll be able to join us for the panel on September 13th at 7 pm EST. The panel will be done via Zoom and also live-streamed on Facebook. You can sign up for the panel at https://www.ashlandmass.com/Calendar.aspx?EID=9223. You can also buy autographed books from the various authors at https://www.banksquarebooks.com/ashland-public-library-latina-heritage/aff/communications_9679.

Wishing You a Very Happy Labor Day Weekend

It’s hard to believe that Labor Day Weekend is already here! It’s the unofficial end of summer here on the Jersey Shore and come Tuesday it’s the start of what we call Local Summer. The beaches are way emptier but September and October are two of the most beautiful months on the beach. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I’m going to spend some time with friends and family and with a good book!

3 Things I Can’t Live Without

Many of us are blessed in this great country because we don’t lack basic things. I know I don’t lack many things and am grateful for the opportunities I’ve had for my family to prosper. But there are three things that I don’t think I could live without: books, television, and last but seriously not least, my laptop. I think it would pretty hard as a romance author not to be able to use my laptop to write or surf the net.

What about you? What are things that you don’t think you can live without?

A Fun Ride on the Capitol Wheel

I loved going to the RWA Conference last week and it was awesome to spend some time in the D.C. area. The conference was held at the Gaylord hotel which was a beautiful location as you might have seen from some of the photos I shared. I also got to do a little research for my baseball romances by attending a Nationals game. But I also faced a personal challenge by taking a ride on the Capitol Wheel. Why a challenge? Well, I’m really afraid of heights. Like phobic level afraid, but I’ve sworn to not let my fear of heights keep me from new adventures. Because of that I took a ride on the wheel and while it was scary, it was also amazing. The views of the Potomac and National Harbor were fantastic. This Fun Friday I’m sharing a teaser from my ride!

A Beautiful Sunset

I’ve been having a great time going to workshops and spending some time with friends, both old and new. We had a free moment between events and since the hotel property is right on the Potomac, we went down to see the sunset. It was lovely and in the distance, we could see a storm over the other shore. There was also a beautiful little waterfall along the walk down to the water. The grounds here are lovely and if you want to see an amazing laser and fountain show at the Gaylord, you can visit my Facebook Fan page at https://www.facebook.com/Caridad.Author/videos/590198022663739/.

Exciting Visit to Citi Field

Hubby and I are big Mets fans so it was great to be able to get a tour of the stadium yesterday! We had a great time and bought some tickets for upcoming games. We’ll be visiting a number of other stadiums in the next year or so since we want to be able to visit every ballpark in the U.S. We started with Citi Field back in May and will be going to a Nationals game later this month. Here are some photos for you from our visit! P.S. – if you’re a baseball fan, read the first three chapters of Winning Season for free on Kindle Vella.
