When I was younger my family would often do jigsaw puzzles together and I know that many of my friends started doing puzzles during the pandemic as a way to relax. I thought, why not create a puzzle with one of my romance novel covers for you to solve! Very Happy Unboxing Week
The postman rang more than twice this week! I got a box of my new release COLORADO RESCUE as well as copies of some of my foreign and large print editions for the Harlequin books. It’s always fun to get these and see where my books are being published! I thought I’d share some of that unboxing with you so you could see all the different editions. I usually donate the large print books to my local library, but maybe we can even do a giveaway for some of them. What do you think?
Happy Earth Day
I remember reading Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring many years ago and was influenced by it to avoid using any pesticides in my garden in order to preserve Mother Earth. But that book also kindled in me a desire to try and help the environment in whatever small ways I could. I try to recycle and shut off lights when not necessary. We reuse plastic bags so that they are not single-use and I try to remember taking reusable bags for the grocery store. I think my biggest help has been using my Sodastream which lets me avoid having lots of soda bottles to recycle and also keeps me from putting fake sweeteners in my body. I also try to upcycle as many things as I can, like making a hall tree from a door that was headed for garbage if I didn’t use it. I like to think my little bit helps. How about you? What things do you do to help the environment?

You may wonder what I do when I’m not busy writing. Well, I try to do lots of things, including spending time with my bestie – my daughter. So besides things like gardening, we often do some fun things like visiting the Sloomoo Institute to get slimed, the Peabody Essex Musem in Salem, and lots of other fun places. Why? I had a blast writing Decoy Training! It was so much fun to learn all about training dogs and to weave that into the story of two wounded people who are thrown together when danger lands on their doorstep. Decoy Training is the first book in the K-9s on Patrol Series. There will be six books in the series and each is a standalone story with an uplifting ending! Happy happy Friday!
TGIF! It’s Friday and I’m looking forward to the weekend. I need to get in a blast of writing, but I’m also excited about spending some time with my daughter. Hubby got me a gift card to a local tea shop for Christmas and we’re going to do a High Tea on Saturday. Pictures to follow! As for today’s photo model, isn’t he a cute pup? My fur baby is a cat, but if I were to have a dog, a beagle might be high on the list. A beagle is definitely #1 on hubby’s list. But I’d also consider having either a pit bull or an adorable corgy. How about you? Do you have a fur baby?
