Wishing You a Happy Weekend

Thank God It’s Friday! I hope you all have a great weekend. I know I’m looking forward to mine and going to my very first Romanticonn. If you’ll be in the Trumball, CT area on Saturday, I’d love for you to come visit with me at Romanticonn at the Trumball Marriott. The book signing starts at 12 pm and runs until 4 pm. There is a fee for attendance, but I think you’ll love visiting with so many other authors and vendors at the event. You can find out more at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/romanticonn-2022-tickets-234015144597.

How to help your favorite authors

One of the best things about being an author is getting to meet all of you! It’s wonderful to be able to engage with you and one of the things that readers ask the most is “How can I help support you?” I gave it some thought and came up with these ten ways you can help an author without spending a cent. And again, thank you for your friendship and support. If you want to get in on this month’s exclusive newsletter member giveaway (a $15 gift card and second chances for autographed books) you can sign up at https://www.caridad.com/newsletter/.

Exciting to Meet New Friends!

One of the things I missed the most during the pandemic was being able to go to conferences and make new friends! Now that it’s over, I’m glad to be able to attend wonderful events like the Space Coast Book Lovers Conference and make new friends as well as catch up with old friends. Yesterday we had an author networking session and also a fabulous meet and greet where I got to hang out with some new peeps. Here’s a picture of me with Dee, Mona, and Michelle! Dee and Michelle are fellow romance authors and Mona provides website help. We had a nice time over dinner and got to know each other better. I also met some lovely other authors and readers and found out about more conferences in other states. I see lots of road trips in the future for me! LOL!

Happy Visit to the Philly Flower Show

Yesterday was our annual pilgrimage to the Philly Flower Show and WOW! It was awesome. I was a little worried because last year’s first-ever outdoor show had me wondering whether this new format was one I would like, but this year proved me wrong. There were so many wonderful exhibits, the always amazing Butterflies Live! event, a nice food bazaar, and lots of vendors. I miss seeing Kremps there as well as the other cut flower vendors, but all in all, it was a fantastic show!

A Lovely Day 3 on our River Cruise

We woke docked in the beautiful Wachau Valley in Austria. This is a big wine-growing area and also the home of Melk and its lovely abbey. That was our first stop in the morning and we took a bus to the abbey, but then walked back through the lovely town of Melk to reach where our ship was docked. Here are some photos from Melk! The abbey was absolutely amazing with its gardens and baroque church. It’s actually a functioning abbey with brothers and a school.

Once we were back on board, we cruised to the nearby city of Durnstein! So many beautiful sites along the way on the Danube River.

We arrived at the small town of Durnstein which was surrounded by vineyards. We hiked into town and did some exploring before heading back to the ship for a celebration since we would be docking in Vienna in the morning and some people would be headed home. Hubby and I were staying for another two days so we could explore Vienna.

Have Some Fun with a Puzzle

When I was younger my family would often do jigsaw puzzles together and I know that many of my friends started doing puzzles during the pandemic as a way to relax. I thought, why not create a puzzle with one of my romance novel covers for you to solve! For a chance to win a $10 giveaway, finish the puzzle and write DONE and the title of the book in the comments section. I’ll pick a winner at midnight EST on Sunday, May 8!

Very Happy Unboxing Week

The postman rang more than twice this week! I got a box of my new release COLORADO RESCUE as well as copies of some of my foreign and large print editions for the Harlequin books. It’s always fun to get these and see where my books are being published! I thought I’d share some of that unboxing with you so you could see all the different editions. I usually donate the large print books to my local library, but maybe we can even do a giveaway for some of them. What do you think?
