As I previously mentioned, South Beach Love is going to be a Hallmark Channel Original Movie! We were able to go to see how they were filming the movie and actually got to see them filming the opening and closing scenes of the book. As soon as I can, I will share those photos and some short video clips we took, although I don’t want to spoil anything for you. While we were working for them to do a walk-through of one scene before they actually filmed, my daughter and I had some fun playing around and doing our own little movie! Have a great weekend.
Staying Positive on Rainy Days and in Difficult Times
There are lots of upbeat quotes about how to handle when bad times hit you but this one caught my attention for some reason: When life gives you rain, play in the puddles. Or maybe it was the picture of that adorable corgi! Regardless, no matter how bleak things look now, we will hopefully be able to get through these rough times. For now, I will pray for the people of Afghanistan and the Americans trapped there. I hope God will keep them safe and help resolve this horrible crisis.

South Beach Love is now a Hallmark Channel Movie
I’m so so happy to announce that it’s now officially official that South Beach Love will be a Hallmark Channel movie! The movie stars Taylor Cole and William Levy and will air on October 9 at 9 pm! I’m so excited! The film is currently in production and we’re hoping to be able to visit the set and see the filming! Will keep you posted on that.

#TGIF It’s Friday Night! Time to…
It’s Friday night and time for #FridayFavorites! What’s your fav thing to do on Friday nights? My hubby, daughter, and I used to love to grab some pizza and sit and watch television. It was our time to relax after a busy week and spend some time together. My late Friday night guilty pleasure now is to watch the Hallmark Channel after hubby goes to bed!

Have a great time in Nashville!
Having a good time hanging out with other writers and also doing some sightseeing. Taught a session today on dialogue and was happy with how it went. Nashville is very interesting and I’m looking forward to exploring it some more in the next few days. These pictures are from the Gaylord as well as Downtown Nashville!
Sharing my Special Things with you!
You may wonder what’s on my bookshelves. Since I downsized I only have one big bookshelf that has to hold all my special things and today I’m sharing some of those with you! Remember this is the last day to enter the South Beach Love giveaway contest at https://www.caridad.com/south-beach-love-giveaway/.
Amazing New Cover Reveal!
It is so so exciting to share with you the cover of my February 2022 release from Sourcebooks: The Family She Never Met.
This book is so close to my heart because interwoven with the fictional story are real-life stories from my family history. I’ll be sharing the behind-the-scenes of those stories as well as photos with you in the future, but for today, you can visit the fabulous Nerd Daily blog for the inspiration for The Family She Never Met.
As for the cover, here she is! Isn’t she pretty!

P.S. – If you’re saying to yourself, isn’t this a departure from what I normally do, well, yes and no. It’s certainly a story steeped in history and a story about three women separated by the past, but there is also a strong romantic element as the heroine meets the man who just might be part of her future.
