I have no shelf control

I have no shelf control! LOL! I actually do have shelf control because I have limited space since I downsized. I only have a few keepers of special books, like my mom’s Civics book from Cuba. The other books on my shelves are a single copy of each of my releases and my daughter’s books. I always get a kick out of seeing all the different releases, like the foreign editions with their different titles and covers. The most fun foreign editions were the manga versions. What about you? Do you have shelf control? I suspect what the answer might be. LOL! P.S. If you have room for some more books, please take a moment to check out the first two books in the Crooked Pass Security series, featuring siblings Sophie and Robbie as they help solve their parents’ kidnapping and stop a dangerous stalker threatening an up-and-coming singer. Happy Fall Decorations

I don’t have a lot of free time, but I love taking a break to dress up my little townhouse for the different seasons! This past week, I snuck in a couple of hours to pick up some fall flowers and pumpkins, and to decorate for the fall season! What do you think? Did I do okay? P.S. The towns along the Jersey Shore love to celebrate all the different seasons. The ladies of the At the Shore series would definitely find a moment to spiffy their places for the seasons. Want to know more about them and their lives at the shore? Grab the first book in the series for only 99 cents at https://amzn.to/4nUWZzk.

Dudley’s Puppy Kisses

WHAT HAPPENS IN SUMMER is one of my favorite books, maybe because Connie is probably the heroine most like me. She’s an uptight and responsible New York City lawyer who is unhappy with her law firm job because she feels stifled. She’s fighting the rising emotions for bad boy Jonathan Pierce, who is back in Sea Kiss and determined to prove to her that he’s a changed man. One of the things he’s done to make Sea Kiss is home is adopt an adorable little puppy from the local shelter. In this scene, Connie is down on the beach, crying over all the changes in her life. Her best friend is getting married. Her career is stuck in neutral. And Jonathan is back in town, reminding her of lost love. Suddenly, Jon’s puppy Dudley hops into her lap, bringing puppy kisses and laughter. Unfortunately, Jon is not far behind. “If you want to talk about it – ”

“I don’t.”

He didn’t give up. With a smile, he said, “Or if you just need a shoulder to cry on . . . .”

She tilted her chin up in a defiant gesture that was achingly familiar. “I wasn’t crying. Like I said before, it was just Dudley’s puppy kisses.”

“Really?” He couldn’t resist the challenge. He leaned forward and cradled her chin with his hand.

Her gold-green eyes widened in surprise as he came ever closer. When he kissed the corner of her right eye, her eyelashes fluttered against his lips as she closed her eyes.

“Sweetest,” he began and shifted to her other eye. “Dog spit,” he said and didn’t wait for her protest. “Ever.” He kissed her lips, a gentle coaxing kiss that had her tilting into him and grasping his shoulders for support. As they moved closer, Dudley, who had been sitting in her lap, squirmed and barked a complaint as he got sandwiched between their bodies.

Is a Hamburger a Sandwich?

It’s an age-old question. Is a hamburger a sandwich? Same goes for a hot dog? If we say that a sandwich is meat, cheese, or some other filling between two pieces of bread, I think a hamburger is a sandwich. What about you? P.S. Nothing to do with hamburgers or sandwiches, except that Robbie in DEFENDED BY THE BODYGUARD is a bottomless pit when it comes to food. LOL! Happy National Pickleball Day

Happy National Pickleball Day! My hubby and I love to play pickleball. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to do it the last few months because it’s just been too windy. You play with something like a wiffle ball, so any wind makes the ball carry in weird ways. We’ve been checking out indoor courts so we can play-year round! What about you? Do you play pickleball? P.S. The women of the At the Shore contemporary romance series are definitely not pickleball players. They’d rather surf or bicycle along the boardwalk. If you love beach reads with best friends at new stages in their lives and finding unexpected love, you’ll love the At the Shore series. The first book in the series, ONE SUMMER NIGHT, is specially priced at 99 cents. Grab your copy today at https://amzn.to/45d9tMs.

What’s one thing you do in the summer?

What’s one thing you do in the summer? For me, it’s head to the beach, or as the Jersey folks say, go down the shore. I love chilling on the beach with a good book or with my little grandbaby. He loves playing with buckets full of water. He’s still getting used to the ocean. I can imagine that it’s a big and scary thing at his age. What about you? What’s one thing you do in the summer? P.S. If you’re like me and love to read on the beach, why don’t you grab a copy of ONE SUMMER NIGHT? First crushes. Family feuds. Enemies to lovers. A marriage based on a soul-crushing secret. A Publishers Weekly Top 10 Fall Romance. It’s specially priced at 99 cents at https://amzn.to/3SndEie.
