Milestone Celebrations! Oreo Cookie Cheesecake for my 8000th Tweet

It’s the unofficial end of the summer with Labor Day here. A milestone and a sad one for summer lovers like me. Granted, there are still a few weeks until the real end of summer, but after Labor Day the beaches are emptier and the kids are back to school so it definitely feels like the end of summer.

There are other milestones that I’m just starting to realize. Over 1500 blog posts with you guys! Thanks to all of you who have been with me along that journey.

I’m also nearing my 8000th tweet. EIGHT THOUSAND! How did that happen? Of course, milestones deserve celebration and since my “lifestyle change” (and a loss of 42 pounds) there is one thing that I’m truly craving. Well, maybe a few things, but like Julia Child said, “Moderation in all things, even moderation.”

So, a little slice of a classic Oreo Cookie Cheesecake is my moderate celebration of the 8000 tweet milestone I will soon hit.

I’d offer you up a slice if I could, but instead, you can click here to get the recipe for this tasty treat!

Second, crank up the speakers and rock along with Kate Perry! I love her! When I’m taking my weekend strolls along the boardwalk and this song hits my playlist, I hit repeat and it’s all I can do not to start dancing right then and there!

The Boys of Summer Please Stay!

Yesterday had that feel of fall about it. I wanted to dig my fingers into summer and hug it tight ’cause I so don’t want to see it go.

I guess that’s what had this song on my mind, so much so I had to go download it! Unfortunately, it’s hard to find the original video with Don Henley, although I was able to track this one down for you!

So I’m going to hold onto the image of me driving down Ocean Avenue, my top down and my Wayfarers on for just a little longer. . .

You can click here to see the Boys of Summer video! And CRANK UP THE MUSIC!

Have a great weekend!

#Vampire Weekend!

We’ve put to bed FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE: THE REBORN, my September release in THE CALLING/REBORN Vampire novel series and this weekend I’m putting my finishing touches on BORN TO SERVE (sure to be retitled)(October 2013). BORN TO SERVE is the first of the Diana/Ryder stories and I am so hoping you will love seeing what’s happening with these two characters as well as their Scooby Gang of human and undead friends.

So, since this is a vampire weekend, who better than Vampire Weekend with their catchy song A-PUNK. Kick up the volume and if you’re a JUST DANCE fiend like my daughter and me, stand up and dance along!

Hope you all have a Fun Friday and weekend! If you can’t see the video below, you can click here to watch.
