Whether you are a cat owner or a dog person, you will appreciate this look at the world from a cat’s perspective. My favorite is the one about the door and the in-out in-out. Seriously, my cat will sit there and meow, prance out and then in. Out and then in as if it was my role in life to be her doorman.
If there is such a thing as reincarnation, I want to come back as a house cat.

My daughter showed us this video the other day and explained the Harlem Shake. A 30 second clip, part of it with one masked person dancing and then BAM an explosion of others joining in. 30 seconds and no more. Interesting concept to keep it short. Sometimes those viral videos go on for way too long!
So the song has gone viral and there are numerous variations on the Harlem Shake on youtube. This was the one we saw. Amazing to see it filmed underwater and with such clarity. This one is from the UGA Men’s Swim & Dive Team.
Several years ago, my fabulous friend Lois Winston had three short stories published in charity anthologies. The rights to these stories recently reverted to her and she’s taken these stories and one more and published them as an ebook. Those little blobs you see in the ocean are dolphins. At one point we were only a few feet away from them. Amazing.

We’ve all had it happen. We’re walking along and POP goes the bra strap. Or at the worst possible moment, that easy-to-undo clasp or hook just doesn’t want to give.
My most embarrassing moment happened one day while I was walking through Grand Central Terminal and my slip fell right off and puddled around my ankles. I had lost weight and clearly the elastic was no longer in any condition to keep that slip up around my waist. So there I am, beige lace and nylon wrapped around my ankles! Worse yet, one of the secretaries from the office was walking right toward me! I don’t even remember how I did it and suspect Houdini would have been proud, but I managed to whip the slip right off and into my briefcase. Whew! If the secretary saw, she didn’t say thankfully.
