#ManCandyMonday – Jason Morgan and Armani’s Acqua di Gio

I seem to see a lot of men’s fragrance ads lately. Hmm, wonder what that’s about. In any case, today’s Man Candy is Jason Morgan, the new model for Arman’s Acqua di Gio cologne. He’s been in a number of different ads and will also be doing promotions for Armani underwear in the future.

#ManCandyMonday – The Unknown Explorer

This model caught my eye on the television last night. The ad is for MONT BLANC EXPLORER and you can find out more about the fragrance as well as the awesome Mont Blanc pens here: https://www.montblanc.com. I was lucky enough to receive a pen set from my hubby when I graduated law school. But back to the Man Candy. I wish I could tell you his name, but I haven’t been able to find it. #ManCandyMonday – Southern Vampire Ryder Latimer

One of my fav all-time characters is Southern Vampire Ryder Latimer from The Calling is Reborn vampire novel series. I just fell in love with him from the moment he popped into my brain and started screaming that he was the perfect foil for kick-ass heroine FBI Agent Diana Reyes. I knew that Ryder’s old school protective nature would definitely rub Diana’s modern I-can-take-care-of-myself attitude the wrong way. I also knew that his tortured soul which has somehow managed to retain its humanity even after two hundred years as a demon would recognize a wounded spirit like Diana’s. Bringing the two of them together would surely create sparks, but the love that grows between them would definitely heal those wounds, although not without creating a whole host of other issues. I hope you’ll take a moment to check out Ryder in his first appearance in DARKNESS CALLS. It’s been a few weeks since I tempted you with some Man Candy, so today I’m sharing sexy Owen from ONE SUMMER NIGHT. I loved Owen’s loyalty to his brother as well as his long term love for Maggie, the heroine in the story. Sebastian Reyes was one of the hardest characters I had to write. Sebastian started out very much a beta hero in Danger Calls, but he quickly had to answer the call (big pun intended) when he’s thrust into the vampire world inhabited by older sister Diana, her lover Ryder, and Dr. Melissa Danvers. Melissa is Ryder’s keeper and honor bound to take care of Ryder’s vampire needs. Sebastian is not sure he’s up to being a hero since for all his life he’s felt like a disappointment thanks to his dead father’s disapproval. But after a night of lovemaking, Sebastian cannot stay away from Melissa and he realizes he’s more of a hero than he ever thought possible. So for today, I bring you sexy computer hacker Sebastian Reyes.

#ManCandyMonday – Vampire Ryder Latimer & Happy 15th Anniversary

One of my all time favorite characters is sexy Southern vampire Ryder Latimer from The Calling is Reborn Vampire novels. I love his journey of going from being tortured and alone to embracing the vampire and eventually, dealing with the fact that he might find himself human again. The last is something he may not want since he needs to protect his wife Diana Reyes and their daughter Charlie.

I worked feverishly last week to get this book ready for you for today, not really knowing why until I was busy coding the new page for the DARKNESS CALLS and I realized it’s been 15 years since the release of that book. Now, fifteen years later and over a dozen novels and novellas later, I’m just as in love with this series as I was when I first wrote.

Right now I’m working on getting DANGER CALLS ready, but I’m also working on something very special for fans of the series. I’ve dug out the original manuscript which was much longer and had to be shortened for Harlequin. I’m working on weaving in those deleted scenes to give you guys an extended version of the novel and I hope you’ll like it! Look for that in a few weeks at least. Piecing it back together is a lot harder than cutting out those scenes.

For now, here is how I pictured sexy Ryder when the series first starts. All alone in his own darkness until Diana Reyes steps out of his dreams and into his world.

#ManCandyMonday – Rey Peralta from Amazon Awakening

Amazon Awakening is one of my more unusual stories and if you like time travel/alternate universe kinds of stories, this one may be for you. The hero in the story, Rey Peralta, is a Guardian, one of a unique group of humans who have been tasked with protecting a sacred space that exists in the Amazon. Some have even likened that sacred space to the Garden of Eden, but there’s just one problem. Whatever happens in our mortal plane can affect that sacred space and rogue loggers taking down the rainforest may soon destroy that Eden. That’s why it’s so important for Rey to convince the heroine, Paola Lopes, to return and embrace her legacy since the Lopes family is the most powerful of all the Guardian families. I’ve often toyed with the idea of doing a sequel where you meet Paola’s half-sister who resides in the sacred space. I’d love to hear from you if you’d like that!

Here is how I pictured Rey and I love this tattoo. Makes me think each Guardian should have one that tells what their animal spirit is!
