Hubby and I have a list of things that we’re watching and one of them is City on a Hill. It’s a fascinating show about a rough and sometimes not so ethical FBI Agent Jackie Rohr who is played by Kevin Bacon. But it’s hard not to focus on handsome Aldis Hodge who plays a District Attorney who is often at odds with Jackie. Aldis just commands the screen with his presence. He is just so handsome and his character on the show is compelling. If you get a chance and love police/DA drames, definitely check out City on a Hill. Casting the Lead for Rescue at Redland
I’m busy working on the first book in the Harlequin Intrigue SBS K-9 series tentatively titled Rescue at Redland. Since I’m trying to picture who to cast as the lead – K-9 Agent Matt Perez – I did some searching for a hottie and found Danilo Carrera. Danilo is a telenovela star and I think he might be perfect to play Matt. What do you think?
Trey Gonzalez from South Beach Security
I spent the morning scrolling through photos of actors to try to find the right one I’d cast as Trey Gonzalez, an undercover detective who is the grandson of the founder of the South Beach Beach Security agency that is at the heart of my upcoming new series for Harlequin Intrigue. Trey is the hero of the first book in the series – Lost in Little Havana – but you will see him in all of the books in the series, including the spin-off K-9 Division stories featuring those adorable dogs Bongo, Missy, Mango, and Butter.
After searching high and low, I decided Christian Bale was a good choice even though Trey has blue-green eyes. Bale’s intensity is what made me pick him and I’ve loved watching him in many movies from Batman Begins to one of my favs Ford v Ferrari. What about you? Are you a fan? Could you see Bale playing the role of an undercover detective or head of a private security agency?
Man Candy Monday Decoy Training
Decoy Training was special for me because not only does hero veteran Shane get his HEA, military widow Piper also gets to find her happiness. Since it’s a K-9 story so does Decoy, the stray dog befriended by our hero Shane. Decoy helped rescue Shane after an IED exploded and buried Shane in the rubble of the building where he was training fellow soldiers. As for Decoy’s Happily-Ever-After, not only does he get to live a life as a rescue dog, but he gets to meet Piper’s new pup Chipper. Happiness all around! If I had to cast someone to play Shane in a movie, I think it would be Jake Gyllenhall! I’ve liked Jake since we first saw him in October Sky.

A Re-release and Man Candy
I’m working on doing a re-release of Secret Agent Reunion which was the follow-up to More Than a Mission which is one of my favorite books! The hero in Secret Agent Reunion is an ex-Army Ranger and as I picture him, I’m trying to think what he might look like. That brought to mind Kyle Chandler who is one of my personal favorites. I recently watched Kyle in Super-Pumped which has another fav: Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Super-pumped is all about the creation of Uber. What do you think? Are you a fan of Kyle?
Man Candy Monday Shane Adler
I love writing stories with military heroes and helping them get their Happily-Ever-After. That’s why I loved writing Decoy Training! This story was even more special because military widow Piper gets to find her happiness as well as Decoy, the stray dog befriended by our hero Shane. Decoy helped save Shane when he was buried in the rubble of a building demolished by an explosion. As for Decoy’s Happily-Ever-After, not only does he get to live a life as a rescue dog, but he gets to meet Piper’s new pup Chipper. Happiness all around! I’ve shared photos with you of Decoy who is a lab mix. As for Shane, how do you picture him? Something like this?

Man Candy Monday Charles Leclerc
My daughter has gotten into Formula 1 racing and dutiful mom that I am, I was asked to pick a driver that I liked since we’re actually going to a Grand Prix race together later in the year. To be honest, I knew little about Formula 1 racing until one of my former clients was sponsoring the Sauber racing team. Because of my lack of knowledge, I did the next best thing for selecting a driver: Who was the cutest. Well, after being shown a few quick snapshots, I chose Charles Leclerc and what a choice! Leclerc is burning up the track this year with quite a few wins for Ferrari, including first place in both the Bahrain and Australian Grand Prixs which leaves him in first place in the Formula 1 Power Rankings. Hopefully he’ll still be in first place when we go to our Grand Prix race!
