I’m working on a new project and one of the romantic interests is the very successful founder of a hedge fund. I picture him as handsome and elegant. Very classy. While searching for someone who might fit the bill for this character, I came across Argentinean model Tao Fernandez Caino. I can totally picture him as a very successful executive in a bespoke suit. #ManCandyMonday – Jackson Whitaker from COLD CASE REOPENED
I know many writers who collect photos of who they would cast as their heroes and heroines before they start writing so they have a strong sense of what their characters look like. I normally don’t do that. Instead I start with general ideas about height, weight, hair and eye color because I like to leave it to the reader to fill in that picture in a way that pleases them. So when I thought of Jackson Whitaker, the hero in COLD CASE REOPENED, I pictured a tall, leanly muscled man with close-cropped sandy brown hair and gray eyes. Who do you picture? Josh Holloway? Jensen Ackles? He had shortly cropped sandy-brown hair that screamed former military and eyes the gray of lake waters on a dreary day. He clenched and unclenched his chiseled jaw as he stood there, obviously hesitant, before he finally said, “You should be more careful and check to see who it is before you open the door.”
Anger ignited instantly at his chastisement. “I was expecting room service. Not the police.”

He first caught my eye in I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER and CRUEL INTENTIONS. I was glad to see him back in SHOOTER and if you haven’t caught it, check it out. If I had to cast Ryan in any of my books, I think he’d be a good fit in COLD CASE REOPENED, my March 2021 release from Harlequin Intrigue.

Good morning and Happy Monday! I hope you all had wonderful holidays! Today I’m sharing my choice for Detective Jackson Whitaker, the hero in my upcoming March release, COLD CASE REOPENED: Martin Henderson from Virgin River.
New Zealand native Martin has actually been working as an actor since he was a young teen and has appeared in a number of movies and television shows, including LITTLE FISH, OFF THE MAP, GREY’S ANATOMY, and even a Britney Spears video!

I don’t know why, but if I had to pick someone to play the role of Hadrian from Fate Calls – Holiday with a Vampire, I could totally see Dave Navarro all elegantly dressed up as the vampire elder who is being pushed to the limit by a bell-ringing Santa. Why does Hadrian hate Christmas so much? Because the holidays at this time of year have only brought pain and loss to the handsome vampire. #ManCrushMonday – Jensen Ackles
I have to confess that I only watched the first few seasons of SUPERNATURAL, but I feel your pain at losing your show after so many years. It’s how I felt when Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended. It was so hard to know that there would be no new season to watch. One of the reasons I watched SUPERNATURAL was for hottie Jensen Ackles. He’s just so handsome! I tried to imagine if Jensen could be the hero in any of my books and decided he could definitely play Jase Hart, the military hero in JUST ONE NIGHT, or Jonathan Pierce, the tech guru from WHAT HAPPENS IN SUMMER. If you’re a fan of Jensen, don’t fear! You’ll see him in 2021 playing Soldier Boy on THE BOYS.

#ManCandyMonday – Tyler Hoechlin and Trapping a Terrorist
I’m hard at work on another book for Harlequin Intrigue: TRAPPING A TERRORIST (October 2021). My story is the fourth one in an ensemble series featuring a Behavioral Analysis Unit working out of the FBI’s Seattle office. If you love police procedurals and shows like CRIMINAL MINDS, I think you’re going to enjoy these four stories, each featuring a unique investigation and romance. My story revolves around a series of bombings that are occurring in Seattle and my hero is Supervisory Special Agent Miguel Peters who is overseeing the BAU team. The heroine in the story, Maisy Oliver, is a witness to the first bombing, but also the daughter of a serial bomber who had terrorized Washington State over a decade earlier. It makes for a complicated romance in addition to the dangerous investigation. So who could possibly play the hero in my story? This is a repeat choice, but Tyler Hoechlin is just so gorgeous! You may know Tyler from a number of movies and TEEN WOLF, but look for him to play Superman in the new SUPERMAN AND LOIS which will premiere on the CW in February 2021. I can’t wait for that. He’s the perfect Superman!
