2025 is just around the corner!

2025 is just around the corner and while I normally don’t make New Year’s resolutions, something made me want to do it this year. After thinking about it for a little bit, I came up with these five things I’d like to accomplish in 2025. Here goes and in no particular order!

    Learn something new each day
    Get more sleep!
Spend more time with family and friends
    Write something different
    Get healthier in every way

All good things, right? You may be wondering about that writing something different. I have the new Crooked Pass Series coming mid-2025 and the books are action-packed and romantic. But the one I’m working on right now, #3 in the series, is different. It’s more of a psychological thriller than my usual Harlequin Intrigue stories. I hope you’ll like it! What about you? Do you make resolutions? If you do, what’s tops on your list?

Happy National Pie Day: Apple or Pecan?

It’s National Pie Day and I’m sure that many of us had some kind of pie on the Thanksgiving table. Most people probably had apple or pumpkin. Some had pecan pie, one of my favorites. If I had to make a choice between apple and pecan, I would most definitely pick pecan. What about you? Which would you choose or do you have some other favorite? P.S. KILLER IN THE KENNEL hit the shelves this week and if KILLER IN THE KENNEL has arrived, that means it’s only a few weeks until DANGER IN DADE (and Christmas Eve)! Grab your copies today at https://amzn.to/4dt8sk3.

Happy Thanksgiving Countdown

OMG, there are only 18 days until Thanksgiving! My daughter and I are busy working up our dinner menu and deciding who will make what dish for the meal. We’re staying home for the grandbaby’s first Thanksgiving and having some family over to share the day with us. We’re grateful for so many things this year and want to share the optimism and happiness with our family and hopefully, with you. Are you already planning your Thanksgiving menu? Will you be making anything interesting this year? P.S. There are only 16 days until the release of KILLER IN THE KENNEL and just a little over a month until DANGER IN DADE (and Christmas Eve)! Grab your copies today at https://amzn.to/4dt8sk3. Yikes, time is flying by fast.

Sunday Vibes

It’s the first Sunday in a long time that I’ve got nothing I absolutely have to do – besides work on #3 in the Crooked Pass Security series. I have a standing brunch date with a friend and then I may just take a stroll on the boardwalk or putter in the garden a bit. Maybe I’ll make gnocchi for dinner tonight. Wish me luck! What about you? Any plans for today? P.S. Counting down to the release of DANGER IN DADE on Christmas Eve. Just 53 days! OMG, I should start making my naughty and nice list! Happy National Black Cat Day

Happy National Black Cat Day! Years ago we made a bargain with our daughter: Get good grades and you can get a cat. She honored her part of the bargain so we did as well. The local shelter didn’t have any kittens we could adopt so we called another shelter who said, “Yes, we have a kitten, but she’s a black cat.” That didn’t bother us and we headed to get her. When we arrived, the shelter worker showed us into a large room where the cats could roam free as they didn’t believe in keeping them in cages. My daughter walked into the center of the room and this little black kitten came right up and starting winding around her legs. It was love at first sight and I hoped that this was the little kitten. It was! As we were filling out the adoption papers, the shelter worker mentioned that black cats are hard to adopt because of fears about black cats. We loved our little black cat that we named Osiris. She was with us for 17 years before she passed. What about you? Do you have a black cat? Share your photos if you do! P.S. I have not written a book with a cat. I really must remedy that in the future! But if you love books with dogs, please check out the South Beach Security K-9 Division series at https://amzn.to/3Kt2G5Q.

Lovely Day at Belmar Beach Book Fair

We had a lovely day at the Belmar Beach Book Fair yesterday at the lovely Taylor Pavilion! What a beautiful location to combine some of my favorite things: the beach, books, my daughter, little baby Axel, and my friends and neighbors. Thank you to everyone who came by and supported this wonderful event run by the Belmar Public Library. It was great to spend time with you and talk about books. If you couldn’t get there, no fear. You can grab copies of any of my books at various online booksellers and use my contact page to reach me for an autographed bookplate for your books!
