My favorite July thing to do…

I love this time of year because it’s when I get to relax under an umbrella on the beach and read. Read, and read, and read. LOL! I just demolished some steamy romances and then decided to tackle something a little more serious: 1984 by George Orwell. It’s been a great read so far because of the ideas expounded and also the wonderful writing and development of the characters. What about you? What’s your favorite July thing to do? Happy National Strawberry Sundae Sunday

Who doesn’t love an ice cream sundae? There are so many possible combinations and I have to confess, I do mix up my ice creams and toppings if I am having a sundae. Some of my favorites are strawberry ice cream with hot fudge (think chocolate-covered strawberries). Another favorite is a strawberry sundae, whether vanilla ice cream or strawberry ice cream with strawberry sauce! Are you seeing a pattern here? Yes, I’m one of those people who loves strawberry ice cream, but I also love other fruit flavors like cherry vanilla and mango. Another fav: Carvel’s Fudgie the Whale with those tasty chocolate crunchies inside. What about you? What’s your fav sundae or ice cream? P.S. – Have a fabulous Sunday! Very Special Boobs Between the Books

My amazing friend Stacey Wilk is involved with Evolve Pink, an organization that provides support to women dealing with the effects of breast cancer. To raise funds for that group, I am taking part in a very special event with Stacey and several other authors: Boobs between the Books. Join us on Saturday, June 8 for this wonderful event. Upcoming June Events

I can’t believe June is almost here! I’m really chuffed (Watching too many shows on Britbox) about these two upcoming events! If you’ll be in the Flemington area, please join us for the Boobs Between the Books, a fabulous event organized by my awesome friend and fellow author Stacey Wilk! A portion of the authors’ proceeds from this event will be donated to evolvepink.org, an organization for women dealing with breast cancer.

For my Long Island peeps, I’ll be appearing at the Gold Coast Book Fair in Oyster Bay. The panel and most events are free, but you must register for it! I’ll be on a panel and signing books thereafter, but there are also lots of fun events going on all day!

Today’s the Day!

After months of planning, the big day is here! It’s baby shower time. Of course, it’s not the REALLY BIG DAY when our little baby will arrive. We can’t wait for that but in the meantime we’ll celebrate the joy and happiness that’s to come. This is one of the decorations I put together after a neighbor mentioned making one. Not bad for a first try, I think. What do you think? I know we’re going to have a fun day today and hope you are having a great day as well!

Happy Mother’s Day

A Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. I hope you have a fabulous day. I want to also wish a Happy Mother’s Day in heaven to my mother and grandmother. I would not be the woman I am today if not for them. My daughter would also not be who she is without them. My mother and grandmother were both strong women who did so much for their families. I owe them everything! It’s going to be a rainy day today but I’ll still be keeping with my Mother’s Day tradition of putting in the flowers and veggies for the season. I’m a little worried about the weather not so much because of the rain since I’ve had to plant in the rain in many a Mother’s Day. It’s more about the chill we’ve been having at night since the weather has been dipping below 50 which is a little unusual for this time of year. Sigh. Hopefully, some cloches over the veggies will keep them safe.
