Baby Cari and My Grandmother

We had to leave many things behind in Cuba when we escaped Castro’s communist regime, so I don’t have many photos from my early life. That makes the few photos that I have even more precious. This photo is of my grandmother and me. She was an amazing woman! After my parents had to flee to avoid being put in jail, my grandparents watched my sister and me in Cuba, and then took us all around Central America and Mexico until we could enter the U.S. legally. After, she took care of us since my mom had to work to support our family. She was a rock in my world, and I miss her to this day.

Magical Winter Nights

We had a chance to jump into the Christmas light season with a trip to Magical Winter Nights. The lights were amazing, and the grandbaby loved walking around, looking at all the different characters. The dinosaurs were his favorite, especially the ones that moved. We were lucky that it was a clear and lovely night! I hope you’re all having a nice holiday weekend!

Last Taste of Summer

This morning definitely let me know that summer is gone. There was a chill in the air in the morning darkness, and fallen leaves were rustling noisily outside. Definitely autumn out there. That made me pull up photos of some of my favorite flowers from my summer garden. I just wanted to hold onto a last taste of summer. P.S. If you’d love to hold onto summer a little longer, dive into ONE SUMMER NIGHT, the first book in the At the Shore series for only 99 cents. Grab your copy today at https://amzn.to/48TfcsK.
