It’s that time of year when a young woman’s mind turns to BASEBALL! We are all big baseball fans in our family, including our soon-to-be son-in-law (still find it hard to say that, but in a happy way!). In any case, lucky for us he’s not a Yankees fan because we are diehard Mets fans. It takes character to be a Mets fan and so we celebrate the little things, like this brush with the trophy for the 1969 World Series win! And now it’s time to “Play ball!”

#ThrowbackThursday – Our Forever Home
Hubby and I bought our “forever” home last fall and we’re still getting used to it and prepping for our first summer at our new house. It’s weird to have left our old place, but we knew we needed more room for that “forever” home. I’ll be happy to be close to the ocean since I’m most creative there. So today’s throwback is to a wonderful fall day that I spent with my daughter on the beach, both of us working on our writing and sharing a fun time. We biked to lunch and had a good meal at a vegan restaurant before heading to the beach.

#ThrowbackThursday – New Orleans and RT Convention
New Orleans is an interesting place to visit and it was a lot of fun doing so at the 2014 RT Convention. Today’s photo is from the Mardi Gras Museum across the river from New Orleans. You can visit the museum and see all the floats and other Mardi Gras items that are stored there in between Carnival celebrations!
This year I’m going back to New Orleans for the Book Lovers Con. I can’t wait to see some of you there and I’ll be taking part in the Hot Heroes Bingo event as well as the Sourcebooks’ Bookseller, Librarian and Blogger Reception. For more information on this reader conference, please visit https://www.bookloverscon.com.

#ThrowbackThursday – My first book signing
It’s been almost twenty years since my very first book signing! How time flies, right? So here’s a throwback to that signing. I’ve got my best friend and most amazing daughter with me. I so appreciate her support and understanding of my passion for writing.

#ThrowbackThursday – My Little One
My daughter has been on my mind a lot lately, mainly because she’s embarked on the next phase of her journey through life. She just got a new job and is getting married in the fall. We’ve been having fun with her in New York City which has let us have time together for shopping sample sales, dinners, and other entertaining things. We haven’t run into New York City vampire though. At least not yet! LOL! For today, a cute picture from when my daughter was about two or so. Hat is courtesy of the grandparents and attitude is all her own.

Happy Valentine’s Day! #ThrowbackThursday
I don’t know what made me share hubby last week instead of today, but it came to me last night as I was prepping this blog that hubby and I wouldn’t have been possible without those who came before us. So today, I’m sharing some very special people, my maternal grandparents and my mom and dad. My mom and grandma, in particular, were amazing women who provided positive role models and taught me that anything that I wanted was possible if I worked hard enough for it. No victimhood in this family even though at times things were rough for them. So today I honor them, miss them, and share my love for them with these photos. My grandparents are to the left and mom and dad are to the right. The little girl in the photo to the left is my mom!

#ThrowbackThursday – Philadelphia Flower Show
I am so counting down to spring! Only 41 more days to go and it’s hard for me to think that it’s think that it’s that far away without a little hint of spring to keep me going. That’s why I love the Philadelphia Flower Show! We go every year since it’s also the same week as my birthday so it’s a super special celebration with my sister and sometimes our daughters. So much fun. For today, I’m sharing a little blast of my fav flowers with you: Carnations. Yes, I know, very pedestrian, but I love them! They just smell so good and they last forever when they’ve been cut.
