#ThrowbackThursday Authors & Inns Tour

Many years ago I was invited to participate in an Authors & Inns tour along the Jersey Shore. My husband and I got to stay at the fabulous Beacon House Inn in Sea Girt, NJ as part of the event and we just fell in love with this part of the shore.

That’s what prompted our decision to move to this area and what eventually led to our daughter locating her surf and skate shop in nearby Ocean Grove.

Here is a picture of the authors who participated in the event. This picture was taken in the Beacon House Inn. The inn dates back to 1879 and if I remember correctly, this staircase came from an older home in the Philadelphia area that the original family once owned.

#ThrowbackThursday My Best Friend & Me

I’m sorry I missed you yesterday, but I was feeling a little under the weather. I think this year has kicked my butt and I really need to get some rest.

This is a picture of me and my best bud, my daughter, during one of her soccer games. She loves playing soccer and I hope she’ll find the time in the future to play on an adult league.

#ThrowbackThursday Philly Comic Con & Laura Kaye

A couple of years back a group of us got together for a booth at Philly Comic Con. Stephanie Julian, Judi Fennell, Laura Kaye and myself had a blast there meeting people, selling books, and chasing after our own fav movie and television stars. Here’s a photo of Laura and me at our booth.

#ThrowbackThursday My Easter Bonnet

Easter was always a big holiday in our house. Church, an Easter Egg hunt, Easter baskets from the bunny and of course, the Easter Bonnet. We even went into New York City a few Easters to be part of the Easter Sunday Parade.

Did you know the Easter Sunday Parade in New York City has been going on for over 100 years? You can click here to see a photo of the parade from 1900!

Here’s a photo of my sister (to the right) and me in our Easter bonnets and dresses!

#ThrowbackThursday Ultimate Fan Girl Moment with Nora Roberts

There are some moments as a writer and reader that you will never forget. One of those moments was being invited to sign at the Turn the Page bookstore and sitting next to Nora Roberts at the signing! Well, sitting next to Nora’s fabulous son and assistant at the signing. Afterward, I got a chance to get a picture with her and chat with her a bit. She is such an open and lovely person. It really meant a lot to me then and it still does. Here are some pictures from that day and to prove I really did sit next to her, you can see the plaid shirt in both shots!

As for why I’m holding the plush beagle doll, I had a beagle named Spotty in THE LOST and he was keeping me company on my trip up to the 2012 RITA Awards.
