As part of my daughter’s baby shower, we asked people to bring a book that she could read to the baby. We had a number of wonderful contributions to the baby’s library. One of my favorite stories as a child was Richard Scarry’s The Country Mouse and the City Mouse. Being a suburban child, visits to the city were such an exciting idea, just like the country mouse.
