Shoutout to Wendy H!

On today’s Shoutout Saturday I want to give a big THANKS to Wendy H. who posted this review of SABOTAGE OPERATION on Goodreads! Thank you Wendy and everyone else who has already left a review. National Classic Movie Day

It’s National Classic Movie Day and I have to confess, it’s been a long time since I sat down to watch a classic movie. But if I did, it would be a movie like Casablanca, Goldfinger, Rear Window, The Wizard of Oz, and To Catch a Thief. A favorite that’s not “classic” is A Walk in the Clouds with Keanu Reeves. There is something so over-the-top about these movies that draw you in, whether it’s the action, location, or cinematography. I had all three of those in mind when I wrote To Catch a Princess. This romantic suspense is set in luxurious Monaco and features a princess and detective trying to stop a cat burglar from stealing a collection of priceless jewelry. The princess is also battling against a marriage arranged by her parents. Little does she know that the detective who she’s falling is the secret prince her parents want her to marry! Fun Visit with Michele Dunaway

I’m so happy to have fellow traveler and Harlequin author Michele Dunaway with me today! Help her decide what spots she should visit next by sharing your favorite spots or ideas! Travel is in my blood. I’m Michele Dunaway, and I write hometown sweet with a hint of spice contemporary romances. One Suite Deal debuts June 25 and is available for pre-order. Lana has left her hometown to travel the world in a job that’s sadly kept her stateside. She doesn’t mind as every day is an adventure, especially when she meets Edmund on the plane. I’ve never fallen for my seatmate, but I love the CNN “I met my love traveling” posts. In fact, many of the flights I’ve taken provided various inspiration for this story—like how many times have I run to make a plane? (At least six.)

My travel adventures started young when my family trekked in the station wagon to St. Simons Island for two weeks. Then came the epic family road trip from St. Louis to New Orleans, Key West, St. Augustine and home through the Smoky Mountains—a three week journey. High school summers meant Red Cedar Lake, Wisconsin, a beloved tradition maintained once I had my own family. By 25, I’d cruised twice and road tripped the Pacific Coast Highway from L.A. to San Jose. My daughters and I have shared amazing trips—Wisconsin Dells, Chicago, New York City, a Disney Cruise, Disneyland, Disney World, London and Paris, just to name a few. My older daughter, who lives in Sweden where the photo of me above was taken, has already visited over 25 countries! This summer takes me to Vermont, Ireland, England and France. Sadly, no time to revisit Paris, Lana’s dream city. That’s okay, Edmund will…nope, no spoilers. One Suite Deal combines many of my favorite tropes and I hope you enjoy escaping into it as much as I love exploring new places. This or That: Romance Novel Heroes Matt or Carlos?

It’s been a long time since we had a little Man Candy for our This or That, so today’s choice will hopefully be interesting. Meet Matt Perez and Carlos Ruiz, the heroes of SABOTAGE OPERATION and ESCAPE THE EVERGLADES. Matt and Carlos are Marines who served with Trey Gonzalez, the acting head of South Beach Security. Matt is a K-9 Agent assigned to protect stable owner Teresa Rodriguez whose horses and people are threatened by a series of attacks. Carlos is a single dad who is trying to run a business, raise a ten-year-old son, and investigate the untimely death of his wife in a car crash. He’s not looking for romance until SBS K-9 Agent and security expert Natalie Rodriguez walks into his life. Matt and Carlos are both handsome, I think, but very different looking. Happy Mother’s Day

A Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. I hope you have a fabulous day. I want to also wish a Happy Mother’s Day in heaven to my mother and grandmother. I would not be the woman I am today if not for them. My daughter would also not be who she is without them. My mother and grandmother were both strong women who did so much for their families. I owe them everything! It’s going to be a rainy day today but I’ll still be keeping with my Mother’s Day tradition of putting in the flowers and veggies for the season. I’m a little worried about the weather not so much because of the rain since I’ve had to plant in the rain in many a Mother’s Day. It’s more about the chill we’ve been having at night since the weather has been dipping below 50 which is a little unusual for this time of year. Sigh. Hopefully, some cloches over the veggies will keep them safe.
