#WriteWed #WisdomWednesday – Self Doubt is an Anchor That Keeps You From Flying Free

Most people think that with over 50 published works in 20 years that I can just sit down and write and write and write. Many know that I normally have a strict regimen of writing every day (work and family permitting). But like many there are moments when self-doubt grabs me and drags me down, especially in this constantly changing publishing landscape. Self-doubt is one of the most debilitating things in life and not just for writing. It can become an anchor that can keep you from success at whatever you want out of life regardless of whether it’s a relationship, career or writing. When those moments come on me, I tell myself to look not at what’s not been done, but at what’s been accomplished. I tell myself that the person who did all that can do anything they absolutely want to do. The only thing standing in the way is my own self-doubt. If you have those moments as well, take a second to share what helps you get over them and move on.

#TransformationTuesday – Goals Met and Some Kettlebell Workouts for You!

The transformation is happily moving along well. My goal was to lose 5 pounds in April and as of this morning I’ve lost 8.4 pounds. Very excited about that. Clothes are feeling looser. I can see a difference in my belly area since I’ve cut back on carbs. My goal last week was to take stairs more often and I’ve been doing that. There is a noticeable difference already in how I feel after climbing which is a good thing since the “forever” townhouse we just bought is three stories. LOL! One of the exercises I do for strength training is to work out with a kettlebell like the one in the picture below (but not a pink one). Kettlebells let you do a diverse number of exercises and you work your entire body since you have to engage your core while using them. Here’s a link to what looks like a reasonable beginner workout using a kettlebell: http://bit.ly/2WcVrnS

#ManCandyMonday – Owen Pierce from ONE SUMMER NIGHT

It’s been a few weeks since I tempted you with some Man Candy, so today I’m sharing sexy Owen from ONE SUMMER NIGHT. I loved Owen’s loyalty to his brother as well as his long term love for Maggie, the heroine in the story. While Owen sometimes had a tough time with balancing his love for Maggie with his desire keep the feud between their families out of their relationship, he made the right decisions at the end so Maggie and he could have their happily-ever-after. So without further ado, here’s Owen!

As a side note, the ONE SUMMER NIGHT e-book is specially priced at 99 cents. That’s a great deal for a Publishers Weekly Top 10 romance! You can order this beach read just in time for early summer reading at the following retailers:

#FlowerFriday #FunFriday – Fav Colors for Flowers

My fav colors for flowers are pink and purple. They just make such a great blend together. I also like to mix in some blues and there’s a great benefit to using those colors in your yard: They will attract bees and hummingbirds! So unless you are allergic to bees, help out your local population by putting in some nice pink, purple, and blue flowers in your garden. This photo was taken in Bryant Park where they have all the spring bulbs and flowers out. Love them!

#WineWednesday – Gifts for the Wine Lover

I’ve been known to have a glass or two of wine not to mention that hubby and I have a running contest: Does my under $10 wine beat his “expensive” wine? Our friends know we have this wine thing going on and over the years we’ve gotten a number of wine gadgets. Today I’m going to share some fun gifts you might like to get for the wine lover in your life!

How about some Monogram Wine Cork Holders? https://amzn.to/2Gw1cX8 (for all the letters)

And then there’s the grown-ups sippy cup! LOL!

If you’re traveling and want to bring some wine back!

What to do what to do with those empty bottles? How about turning them into some fun lighting?
