It occurred to me that we had grown fixated on abs and that sexy little V all through last year and so I decided to give you a change of pace — some nice hot buns to chase away the winter chill.
I don’t know about you, but winter is my least favorite season primarily because I hate the cold. I can tolerate the rain, even the gloominess and yes, even the snow, but not the cold. Sorry to not have posted today, but I’m in the throes of finishing up revisions for the next CALLING book — FURY CALLS — which is about Meghan Thomas and sexy punk vampire Blake Richards from DESIRE CALLS.

I wasn’t prepared for our trip to New York City in that I didn’t bring a cute hat like the one my daughter is wearing in this picture. So we bought one while we were walking around and it was great. Little pattern on the hat and a soft fleecy inside. One of the things I always hated about caps like this was how itchy they were, but this one by Champion is totally comfortable even though it kept on slipping off my big head. It’s tough when you work in a city like New York every day. A lot of times you rush from place to place without appreciating all that is around you. That’s why my family and I take the time to play tourist every now and then — a busman’s holiday. It reminds us of all the wonderful things that are available in New York City. It also lets us spend some fun time together when we walk all around town to explore some favorite haunts and find new ones.
Here’s some pictures from this year’s busman’s holiday trip to New York. The weather wasn’t too cold and we had a ton of fun seeing the windows on all the stores, visiting the big public library and sitting through the Nutcracker ballet before heading off to a nice dinner in the Bryant Park area.
