Is a Hamburger a Sandwich?

It’s an age-old question. Is a hamburger a sandwich? Same goes for a hot dog? If we say that a sandwich is meat, cheese, or some other filling between two pieces of bread, I think a hamburger is a sandwich. What about you? P.S. Nothing to do with hamburgers or sandwiches, except that Robbie in DEFENDED BY THE BODYGUARD is a bottomless pit when it comes to food. LOL! Happy National Pickleball Day

Happy National Pickleball Day! My hubby and I love to play pickleball. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to do it the last few months because it’s just been too windy. You play with something like a wiffle ball, so any wind makes the ball carry in weird ways. We’ve been checking out indoor courts so we can play-year round! What about you? Do you play pickleball? P.S. The women of the At the Shore contemporary romance series are definitely not pickleball players. They’d rather surf or bicycle along the boardwalk. If you love beach reads with best friends at new stages in their lives and finding unexpected love, you’ll love the At the Shore series. The first book in the series, ONE SUMMER NIGHT, is specially priced at 99 cents. Grab your copy today at https://amzn.to/45d9tMs.

What’s one thing you do in the summer?

What’s one thing you do in the summer? For me, it’s head to the beach, or as the Jersey folks say, go down the shore. I love chilling on the beach with a good book or with my little grandbaby. He loves playing with buckets full of water. He’s still getting used to the ocean. I can imagine that it’s a big and scary thing at his age. What about you? What’s one thing you do in the summer? P.S. If you’re like me and love to read on the beach, why don’t you grab a copy of ONE SUMMER NIGHT? First crushes. Family feuds. Enemies to lovers. A marriage based on a soul-crushing secret. A Publishers Weekly Top 10 Fall Romance. It’s specially priced at 99 cents at https://amzn.to/3SndEie.

A happy garden surprise!

I’m still dealing with car repairs and the writing deadline. We’ll see our little one later when we drop off the car, which is thankfully totally repaired. But in the meantime, I had a happy garden surprise when I went out to water: a swallowtail caterpillar. Nerd that I am, I’d give up the entire parsley plant if that would maan more butterflies! We only had a few last year, and I’m hoping this year will be better. Have a great weekend, and please don’t forget, CLIFFSIDE KIDNAPPING hits shelves on July 1. Happy 1st Day of Summer

It’s the summer solstice, and you know what that means? HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER! For the first time in weeks, we’re waking to sunshine and the possibility of a fabulous day. We’ve had an exceptionally wet month, and I’m so grateful for some sun and a chance to get outside. Hopefully, I’ll be able to sneak in some time at the beach and in my garden, checking it out since I haven’t been able to do any work in it for a few weeks. I’ll also finish up #4 in the Crooked Pass Security series. Whew! Then it’s on to the next new stories, which will be a Cold Case K-9 series spinoff! P.S. If you’re hitting the beach and need a good beach read, ONE SUMMER NIGHT, the first book in the AT THE SHORE series, is specially priced at 99 cents. Is Friday the 13th Really Unlucky?

Is Friday the 13th really unlucky? Do you believe it’s an unlucky date? There are several explanations for why so many believe it is! Some say it has to do with the number 13, which is considered unlucky. In the last few years, my hubby has become much more conscious of all things 13 (I won’t tell him our balcony is 13 feet wide, and each of our sets of stairs has 13 steps!) According to Wikipedia, in Norse legends, it involves a dinner to which Loki was not invited. There were already 12 gods there, and when Loki arrived (#13), mayhem ensued. There were 13 people at the Last Supper, which was held on Thursday the 13th. Then there is the massacre of the Knights Templar on Friday the 13th on the orders of King Philip of France! Lots of bad things, but I’m not so superstitious. How about you? P.S. Hope you have a great weekend, and if you’re in the Atlantic City area, please drop by the Aces Wild book event at the Convention Center.

Happy National Donut Day

Happy National Donut Day! Who doesn’t love a good donut with a cup of coffee or tea? My favorite donut was always the buttercrunch from Dunkin’, but unfortunately, they don’t make them anymore. My current fav: the original glazed from Krispy Kreme. We finally have one nearby and my sis and I occasionally drop by to pick up some donuts. What about you? What’s your fav donut? P.S. Only four weeks until the release of CLIFFSIDE KIDNAPPING and the premiere of the Crooked Pass Security series. Pre-order your copies today at https://amzn.to/3HoZB8G.
