#MatineeMonday and #ManCrushMonday – The Greatest Showman

I have to confess that I really really dilly-dallied about seeing The Greatest Showman motion picture which is weird since I really really love musicals. In fact when I played the bassoon in high school and college, one of my favorite things was to be in the pit orchestra for the student-performed musicals.

I finally relented and what can I say but that this movie features an amazing cast, including two of the most handsome and talented actors in Hollywood, namely Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron. They did an incredible job and the score is fantastic. I have to say that Efron’s duo with Zendaya, Rewrite the Stars, is now one of my favorite songs. So if you haven’t already seen the movie, it is available on various platforms. Do yourself a favor and watch it! You won’t be disappointed.

Hope you enjoyed today’s combo #MatineeMonday and #ManCrushMonday

#ManCandyMonday – Vampire Diego Rivera from BLOOD CALLS

I loved Diego and his faithfulness to his lover when he first showed up in DANGER CALLS. I knew he had to have a happy ending after things went badly for him in that story. A Spanish nobleman who converted during the Inquisition, he was betrayed by his wife for his infidelity and died but vowed to be a better “man” as a vampire. Diego has truly kept that promise so his story was a pleasure to write! If I had to cast Diego in the movie version of BLOOD CALLS, I think the right actor would be Danilo Carrera. He just has that elegant look that I would expect from a nobleman like Diego! Also, don’t forget to enter the Grab Bag Giveaway by following me on Bookbub! #ManCandyMonday – Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock

I just love “The Rock”! I love him in comedies and in action movies. I just think he has that kind of charisma that transcends whatever he does, even if it’s something as unbelievable as San Andreas. Sigh. And that smile. Just a gorgeous smile. What do you think? Are you a fan of Dwayne Johnson?

#ManCrushMonday – Ryder Latimer from The Calling is Reborn Vampire Series

The idea for The Calling is Reborn first came to me while I was facing a deadline for another book I was writing. Despite the deadline, the heroine of the book, Diana Reyes, kept on screaming for me to write her story. I found that I had to stop writing the contracted book and sit down and do a few chapters in her story. From that moment, I also knew what kind of hero Diana would need and Ryder Latimer was born. He was the perfect counterpoint to my determined, edgy, and loyal FBI Agent. Ryder was protective, caring, patient, and so so sexy. Just the kind of man that would be impossible to resist, only Ryder wasn’t a man. He was a centuries-old vampire determined not to fall in love, especially with a human who was born to die. I hope you’ll take a moment to check out Ryder in the first book in the series, DARKNESS CALLS. You can find out more about DARKNESS CALLS at https://bit.ly/DarknessCallsCaridadPineiro.

#ManCrushMonday – Carlo from NEVER A BRIDE

Sometimes when you create a character they stay with you for more than just their story. That’s what happened with Carlo from NEVER A BRIDE. From the moment that he came on the scene in the first book in the series, ONE SUMMER NIGHT, Carlo resonated with me and I loved watching him grow with every book in the series. I’m also loving the idea of continuing the series with Carlo and his brothers, Army Ranger Tomas and baby brother Paolo who’s fallen for an older woman. If you’re thinking Tracy, the last of the friends, you may be right! LOL!

Anyway, here’s Carlo for you. I dare you to resist him.

Chef Carlo from Never a Bride

#ManCandyMonday – Carlo from NEVER A BRIDE

Carlo da Costa, the sexy caterer from NEVER A BRIDE, has to be one of my all-time favorite characters! Carlo is so patient, kind, and loving. It was so awesome to finally give him his story with Emma. But besides being a chef and best friend to Emma, Carlo can let his hair down to enjoy his life on the Jersey Shore. This is how I picture Carlo when he’s just hanging and enjoying some sun on the beach near his home. To find out more about NEVER A BRIDE, please visit http://bit.ly/NeverABride.
