Good morning! It’s time for another this or that! This time it’s about romance novel heroes, namely cowboys or military heroes. I’ve written many books with military heroes, but cowboys not so much. In fact, the closest I’ve come to a cowboy hero is police officer Jackson Whitaker from COLD CASE REOPENED. You’ll get to see more of Jax (and heroine Rhea) in the first book of the Colorado-based South Beach Security spinoff (Late 2025). If you ask me whether I’m a Morning Person or a Night Owl, my answer is “Yes.” Now that I no longer have a day job, I’m in what I used to call my weekend mode, namely, staying up to midnight or later while still getting up at 6:30ish to write. I’ve been lucky to have visited Mexico dozens of times for work and experience its wonderful culture, people, and food. In my Jersey Shore area, we have quite a number of Mexican restaurants. My new love is tacos birrias which are tacos that you can dunk in a flavorful liquid made from cooking the beef for the tacos. There are lots of things you might notice about a man right away. That delicious triangle of broad shoulders and lean hips. Their height or lack of it. Abs and butts. It’s National Egg Day! Nom nom! Eggs are one of my favorite foods which I guess is why I love breakfast so much. My fav way to eat eggs is fried because I just love the yolk part. I know a lot of people don’t like that and prefer scrambled eggs. What about you? Do you love scrambled, fried, or some other way? Of course, the only wrong way to eat an egg is without bacon! LOL. As part of my daughter’s baby shower, we asked people to bring a book that she could read to the baby. We had a number of wonderful contributions to the baby’s library. One of my favorite stories as a child was Richard Scarry’s The Country Mouse and the City Mouse. Being a suburban child, visits to the city were such an exciting idea, just like the country mouse.
