You choose! Royalty or Cowboy?

I almost wasn’t going to ask you which one you would rather see in a book since I suspect what will be the overwhelming choice! As for me, I’ve had royalty in my books (The Prince’s Gamble and To Catch a Princess) but I’m not sure I’ve ever had cowboy unless you count Sheriff Jackson Whitaker from Cold Case Reopened. I think both are exciting and romantic, but who would you choose as the hero? Royalty or a Cowboy? P.S. – I can’t spill the beans just yet, but you may be seeing more of Jackson in the future!

This or That: Nice and Trimmed or a Man Bun?

For purely research purposes, I’m always on the lookout for the latest trends for men. At the gym, I see a wide variety of haircuts although most men lean toward sporting fades with short hair and beards of varying lengths. There is also the occasional man bun, although not as often as before. Honestly, IMHO, it takes a very special man to carry off a man bun. Dare we say, the hottest of the hottest are needed for a man bun. Normally, I prefer my men nicely trimmed and groomed unless again – hottie. What do you prefer? Trimmed or man bun? On a totally different note, have you signed up for my newsletter to find out how to win a limited edition hardcover ARC of South Beach Love and an adorable South Beach Security K-9 Division Charm Bracelet (made especially for you by me!) You can sign up at https://bit.ly/CaridadsNewsletter to receive my February 28th newsletter and find out how to enter the contest, keep up on my latest news, and releases!

Favorite Dresses for the Blushing Bride

Good morning! Now that the Super Bowl is over, it’s time to discuss some really important things like what’s the right dress for a blushing bride like Emma from Never a Bride. As a wedding planner, Emma has to deal with all kinds of women, including some pretty awful bridezillas. The funny thing is that even though Emma is a wedding planner, she doesn’t believe in happily ever after and she also can’t see that her Prince Charming is right in front of her nose. But if Emma was going to plan her own wedding, what would she choose? A simple gown or one that was very fancy? What about you? What would you choose? I had a very simple cocktail length dress while my daughter had a gorgeous gown. Both were the right choices for us. Private Chef or Housekeeper? Choose 1!

With the busy lives we lead, who hasn’t wished for someone who could help out with some of the chores around the house? For today’s This or That, who would you choose to help you out? A private chef or a housekeeper? I love to cook and while I do clean the house, I hate doing that! So, I would definitely choose a housekeeper. What about you? Who would you choose? Although I suspect that those of you who have watched the South Beach Love movie would love a hottie chef like William Levy! P.S. – If you haven’t read South Beach Love yet, it’s FREE on Kindle Unlimited and specially priced at 99 cents for a limited time. You can download South Beach Love at https://amzn.to/48xDjKD.

You might now I have a lovely cat named Slate so I lean toward being a dog lover but I also love taking my sister’s rescued greyhounds out for walks. Plus, I love my grand fur baby Lily and corgis, too! What about you? Are you Team Cat or Team Dog? And if you’ve got a fur baby at home, please share a photo! P.S. – If you love puppers, check out Decoy Training, the first book in the K-9s on Patrol series. All the books are standalone and even better, it’s FREE if you have Kindle Unlimited. This or That: Slow or Fast Burn?

I love writing romance but one of the hardest parts of fashioning a story is deciding whether it’s going to be a fast burn or a slow burn between the hero and heroine. It changes from book-to-book and as a reader, I like reading books with different levels of romantic tension and heat. When I was writing Sabotage Operation, I realized that this was going to be a fast burn kind of book because of the danger involved and how quickly the hero and heroine are tossed together and immediately form a bond. In Escape the Everglades, the second book in the South Beach Security K-9 spinoff, it was very much a slow burn because the hero is a single father and there’s a child’s emotions to consider. What about you? Do you like fast or slow burns? Either depending on the story? I’d love to hear from you!

Who’s Aged Best? Rob or Brad?

First of all, no fisticuffs on the page and let’s keep it civil! LOL! I’ve been thinking about how some of my fav actors have aged and decided it was time to have you weigh in on that. So two of my favs are Rob Lowe and Brad Pitt. I always thought of Rob as a pretty boy while Brad is a little more rugged. Both are still HAWT but I have to lean toward favoring Rob. What about you? Who do you think has aged better. P.S. – If I ever got to see One Last Night, my st**my military romance as a movie, both of these men would be fabulous to play the hero, Marine Lieutenant Trevor Mason. One Last Night is an emotional story about a man heading back to war, a father who blows off their dinner date, and Maggie Sullivan, the young woman who can’t leave him alone on his one last night before returning to duty.
