Happy Girl Scout Cookie Season!

It’s that time of year! To tell the truth, however, I had a hard time finding a spot where a local Girl Scout troop was dealing…I mean selling their cookies. It’s always a dilemma choosing which ones to buy. Hubby is hands down a Thin Mints lover. I’m not so set on what to buy. This year I hemmed and hawed between Trefoils, Samoas, Tag Alongs, and the Lemony cookies. I ended up buying two boxes of Thin Mints for hubby and one each of the Samoas and Lemony cookies for myself. Normally I would buy the shortbreads which are my absolute fav but luckily I had a box of those given to me by the awesome Madison Fairbanks! THANK YOU! What about you? What’s your favorite Girl Scout cookie? P.S. Only 36 more days until the release of SABOTAGE OPERATION. I am so excited for you to be able to get your hands on this first book in the new SBS K-9 series plus…I hope to share some exciting news soon about the SBS world.

This or That: Playful or Protective

I absolutely love Corgis. I dare you to look at one of their faces and not smile! They seem perpetually happy with their elfish grins and having been used for herding, they’re smart, obedient, full of energy, and can be trained easily. Even though they have all those good traits, I couldn’t picture having a Corgi as a K-9 hero in my new South Beach Security K-9 series. After much thought, I chose a Belgian Malinois as the K-9 hero in SABOTAGE OPERATION, the first book in the series. A Belgian Malinois is protective and smart and the breed was once also used as herding dogs but they’re now a favorite of law enforcement and the military. Still, I think that if I were to own a dog, it would be a Corgi. What about you? Would you pick a Corgi, Belgian Malinois, or do you have some other favorite breed?

Exciting and Unusual Locations

Real estate agents will tell you that location is everything when choosing a home. Readers are a little more forgiving thankfully! I know many of you like stories set on ranches or the Pacific Northwest. I took a risk to set my new series in Florida and places like Miami and the Everglades and hope you’ve been enjoying those locations in the South Beach Security series. But that made me think about some out-of-the-world locations literally. I haven’t set any stories in space like my friend and fellow author K.M. Fawcett, but I have had some in the ocean like The Shifter’s Kiss. That makes me wonder if you’d ever read books either set in outer space or in the deep sea. Which of those would you choose or if not, what other location do you like seeing in your books!

This or That: Bath or Shower

My daughter just loves taking a long soak in a sudsy, scented bath. I, on the other hand, prefer a nice long hot shower. There is something about the warm water cascading over me that not only relaxes me, it helps me work through things like a gnarly plot point or other mental roadblock. Sometimes I use some bath salts or a shower bomb to get some calming smells in there! What about you? Do you prefer a nice soak or a tranquilizing shower? P.S. I’ve got a number of books available on Kindle Unlimited for FREE or if you’re not in KU, specially priced at 99 cents for a limited time. You can download them at https://amzn.to/3SG2rtz.

Breakfast in Bed or a Dinner in a Romantic Restaurant?

It’s time for some truth-telling! Would you prefer to have breakfast in bed with your loved one or dinner in a romantic restaurant? As much of a romantic as I am, I’d have to pass on breakfast in bed. All those crumbs and stuff all over not to mention that klutz that I am, I’m sure the champagne and/or jelly would end up in all the wrong places! LOL (and get your minds out of the gutter, ladies). So my choice hands down is a lovely dinner in a romantic restaurant. What about you? What would be your choice? P.S. Dinner in a romantic restaurant is what unexpectedly happened to Maggie and Owen from ONE SUMMER NIGHT. If you haven’t read that story yet, it’s on sale of 99 cents and also available in Kindle Unlimited but only until June. Download it at https://amzn.to/3SndEie.

What’s sexier? Nothing but skin or luxurious pajamas?

Today’s This or That may be a tough choice! Would you rather have your partner in nothing but skin in bed or in some super satiny PJs? I’m torn on this one, especially when I’m writing a scene that involved going to bed (to sleep ladies!) My characters usually wear bedclothes of some kind, whether it’s fancy pajamas or serviceable sweats, until it’s time for a love scene. I actually think the dance of removing the clothes can be way sexier and more intimate. What about you> What do you think about nothing but skin or pajamas in bed. P.S> – In SABOTAGE OPERATION, the military hero is a no-nonsense type who definitely wears sweats. But I bet he wonders if the heroine who he thinks is a rich girl (she’s actually a hard-working stable owner) wears something silky to bed! LOL.

Book or Movie? Which do you prefer?

I’ve been lucky to have two brushes with Hollywood. I did the novel tie-in to the Jane the Virgin television show. Very exciting! Jane even said my name on the air (I’ll have to find that clip for you!) But even more exciting was having South Beach Love turned into a Hallmark movie. But as with some adaptations there were changes which brings up today’s This or That. Would you rather read the book or watch the movie version? I have to confess I’ve never read the Harry Potter series but I have watched all the movies. P.S. – if you’ve watched South Beach Love but haven’t read the book, you can find it at https://amzn.to/48xDjKD. The movie kept the basic premise but the book has a lot more teen angst, an annoying reporter, uplifting friendships and family, and lots of tasty food!
