This or That: Beach Stroll or Hike in the Woods

COLD CASE K-9 opens with a lovely hike in the Colorado woods and then BAM… The action starts as a hiker is kidnapped, and the race is on to save her life. Luckily, my beach strolls end with me lounging in my chair, watching the waves, or reading a book. Although I do hikes through the woods at other times, I much prefer a stroll along the boardwalk or beach. What about you? If you have to choose, would you prefer a beach stroll or a hike in the woods? P.S. If you love German Shepherds, ex-military heroes, strong heroines, and a cold case, COLD CASE K-9 might be the book for you! Pre-order your copy at https://amzn.to/.41V8fCA.

Do You Love Fall or Winter?

It’s a brisk morning here on the Jersey Shore! Temps have dipped into the thirties the last two nights, and we even had some snow flurries for a few minutes yesterday. Nothing substantial, just a warning that winter is definitely on the way. I’m not a fan of winter. It’s the one season I could do without, LOL. I much prefer fall to winter. Spring and summer are my fav months! What about you? Do you prefer fall or winter? P.S. I’m counting down to the release of COLD CASE K-9, the story that inspired the new romantic suspense series coming in late 2026! I just love cold cases, and I think you’ll love this one about a CBI Agent who thinks the disappearance of a hiker is the work of a serial killer who may also have taken her younger sister a decade earlier. A little WIP help needed!

For today’s This or That, I’m asking for a little help on my latest WIP, which is the first book in the new Cold Case K-9 romantic suspense series. I’ve written myself into a corner and am trying to decide where to go next. The heroine’s mom has MS, and the stress of reopening the cold case and an attack at their home has triggered an episode. The mom is now in the hospital, and although the hero has a hotel room, he’s staying at the heroine’s home to make sure everyone is safe. However, another attack has occurred at the home, and it’s time for Mom to leave the hospital. Did I mention that without Mom at home, the attraction between the hero and heroine was impossible to deny? So, given the second attack and attraction, should Mom go home or to the hero’s hotel room? I know what I’m leaning toward doing, but would love to hear what you think! P.S. What’s Your Go-to Takeout Food?

I’m off to the Fall in Love with New England conference with my wonderful daughter and several friends! I’m looking forward to seeing those of you who can attend this event! While I’m gone, hubby will have to fend for himself, but he’s pretty handy in the kitchen. Every now and then, we will do takeout, although we try not to since we’re trying to eat healthier. But if we do takeout, we usually end up choosing between Chinese or Mexican food. How about you? What’s your go-to takeout food? P.S. The book signing at Fall in Love with New England is on Saturday and you can buy tickets at the door! Hope you can make it since I’ve got some specially priced Blind Date with a Book Boyfriend books for you!

Do you love Ghosts or Spiderwebs?

I decided to do something special with my nails since I’m off to the Fall in Love with New England conference this weekend. My thumb boasts a cute ghost, and my ring finger bears a fun spiderweb. I love glitter, so while not too pumpkiny, I love the orange nail polish! What do you think? Do you love the ghost or the spiderweb? P.S. Tori, the heroine of Tori Got Lucky, is normally by-the-book, so she probably wouldn’t do ghosts on her nails. But she will surprise her friends with an unexpected elopement that sends their friendships into a whirlwind. Shifters or Vampires?

When I wrote The Calling is Reborn series, the hero was an intriguing Southern vampire. But I knew that as the series expanded, I’d have to add other otherworldly creatures. First came a Kiang-shi, a Chinese vampire. Then a Chupacabra. Finally, it was time to grow the world and bring in shifters. After all, if vampires could exist unknown in Manhattan, what about other creatures of the night? Which leads to today’s important question. If you had to choose, would you rather read a story with vampires or shifters? P.S. You can grab the first book in the THE CALLING IS REBORN series series for only 99 cents at https://amzn.to/3J0cHKQ. Do You Love Sweet or Savory?

When Aldi had its last German week, I picked up two great items: a cherry frangipane tart and a mushroom strudel. Sweet and savory. There were some sweet strudels as well, but since I was getting the sweet tart, I opted for savory. Which makes me wonder…Do you love sweet or savory? P.S. Even though I’m asking you to choose your fav type of food, you luckily don’t need to choose if you like military heroes, vampires, or beach reads! Pick up any of the first-in-series in multiple genres for only 99 cents at https://amzn.to/46Q2dqs.
