Happy National Brownie Day! Although no one made brownies for yesterday’s cookie exchange, it’s not because we don’t love them! We do! I love fudgy brownies with a crispy edge. I even have one of those pans that lets you have edges on each brownie! What about blondies? I confess I rarely order blondies. They don’t call to me as much as regular brownies. What about you? Happy National Cookie Day! I love cookies, although I’ve been avoiding them lately as I try to lose weight. Again. Sigh. But when I do have an occasional cookie, it’s usually an Oreo, which is one of my favorites. I wish I were a better baker because my absolute fav cookies are snickerdoodles. I actually plan on making some of those, as well as pretzel crack, for this weekend’s cookie exchange. I wish I could channel Chef Carlo from NEVER A BRIDE since I’m not really much of a baker. Happy National Pie Day! I’m not a big pie baker, but I love to eat a good pie. My fav is cherry pie, but I also enjoy apple pie with a slice of melted cheddar over it!
