#ThrowbackThursday – Hangin’ on the Shore

I feel the most creative when I’m down the Shore, maybe because I’m a Pisces and gravitate toward the ocean. I took this photo on a glorious October day spent with my daughter. It was unseasonably warm and we did a bike ride to a local vegan restaurant to try it out and then headed to the beach for some creative time. A glorious day with my best friend!

My love for the Shore is a big reason why I decided to write the At the Shore series and showcase the place that I love as the backdrop for the romances. In NEVER A BRIDE, you get to see a lot of Sea Kiss, a fictional town based on some of my favorite Jersey Shore towns.

#ThrowbackThursday – The day has finally come….

The day that I have been anticipating for so long has finally come! Come this Friday I will be a full-time writer as I will be retiring from my law career. It is a happy but bittersweet moment since I will not be seeing my office friends every day. However, I will be visiting as many of them have been part of my life for over thirty years. But now, onto the next phase of my life! I’ve already planned many releases for next year and spending more time with you! Today’s Throwback Thursday photo is to my very first book signing back in 1999. My first, but not my last! Have a great day!

#ThrowbackThursday – Holidays Past

With Thanksgiving just a week away and Christmas soon to follow, I thought I’d share a photo of my nieces and nephews from one of our past holidays. That year we had two new additions to the family, my nephew Jon and my daughter Sammie. It was a fun Christmas holiday filled with lots of family around the table.

I’m excited that this year we’ll be celebrating another new “addition”, namely, our fabulous new son-in-law. Still feels a little weird to say that, but we’re very happy he’s now part of our family.

#ThrowbackThursday – Philadelphia Flower Show

When the weather turns colder and the snow starts to come down, I hold onto thoughts of the Philadelphia Flower Show in March and tell myself I can survive another winter. Kind of like the young artist in O. Henry’s The Last Leaf. As I looked through photos of last year’s flowers, this one caught my eye. You may wonder why since the last thing it screams is “Spring!” and yet I thought, this is a plant that says “I’m not what you expect!” Some people are like that also, all prickly and gruff on the outside, but with souls as pretty as that flower once you get to know them. Anyway, have a great Thursday!

#ThrowbackThursday – A Very Special Wedding Day

To see your one and only child, your baby, all grown up and marrying the man she loves (and who is a really wonderful man) is truly a special day. Thank you to all who helped capture this special moment. I’m sharing some photos from the wedding for you!

Here is video of the wedding ceremony if you’d like to watch it!

#ThrowbackThursday – Happy B’day Duke!

Yesterday was my big bro’s birthday so I decided to share a photo of him with you. This is from his high school graduation. My brother’s real name is Gonzalo, but his friends called him Duke after that song “The Duke of Earl” that was popular in the Sixties. Handsome, right?

#ThrowbackThursday – Counting Down and Our First Halloween

Two weeks from today we’ll be having the Rehearsal Dinner for the bridal party and some overnight guests! It also happens to be Halloween so we’re going to dress in costumes for the dinner and I plan on having some treats for our guests since they miss out on trick-or-treating. Then the next day is the BIG EVENT: The wedding! So excited. It somehow seemed apropos to share this photo of my daughter’s first Halloween. She was just days over two months old when this photo was taken. Love those big glasses do you? LOL!
