Three Things to Be Grateful For

With all that’s happening in life, I’m taking a moment to reflect on things. Because of that, I want to share three things for which I am grateful, namely, my wonderful family, all my friends, including you, and my health. What about you? What three things are you grateful for?

Never Forget 9-11-2001

I will remember this day for the rest of my life. Its memory is as alive now as it was that morning. A beautiful September day that brought no hint of the tragedy that would come. I stood at the windows of our office, in disbelief, as the second plane struck. I watched the first tower fall. It’s an image that will never leave me. I remember being on the Verrazano Bridge, watching the exodus from lower Manhattan as waves of dust spread across the harbor and city. That day changed so much. I pray for our Nation that we never forget that day, and that we remain vigilant of the enemies who would destroy us from afar and from within. Sadly, too many seem to have forgotten.

A Happy Visit

I love babysitting our grandbaby. He’s such a delight. I also love that I get to see my wonderful daughter when she comes by to pick him up. This past week was a very special visit since her Dad and I had ordered her new book, TRAVELER. It’s a tale of the banished prince of an underwater kingdom who has to deal with a perplexing surf photographer who has discovered his secret. Here’s a photo of my daughter and her little assistant signing her new release! You can grab TRAVELER at https://amzn.to/46hqDJ7.

Who is celebrating in September?

Happy September! I can’t believe the summer has flown by and September is here. I know many of you are celebrating back-to-school, but what other celebrations are happening this month? Any birthdays? Anniversaries? My mom’s birthday is in September. She’ll be celebrating 99 in heaven. Wow! What about you? Any special things in September? P.S. I have a few events in September! I’ll be at the Books Books Books event in Lancaster, PA, on September 27. If you’re in the area, I’d love to see you! I have two free tickets if you’d like to attend. Just PM and I’ll get you added to the list for the tickets. I’ll also be at the Brooklyn Book Festival on September 21st from 12:15 to 3:45 at the Romance Writers of America booth.

Happy National Beach Day

Happy National Beach Day! OMG, it’s Labor Day weekend! I can’t believe that “summer” is over. Down the shore, there is a real change. Nights are longer and cooler. After Monday, we’ll see a decided drop in beachgoers, even though September and October are some of the most glorious times to go to the beach. Today I’m hoping to hit the beach after some chores, and I’ll be taking something very special with me to read: my daughter’s new book. It’s a story about the banished prince of an underwater kingdom of merpeople whose secret has been discovered by a surf photographer. Did I mention it’s a romance? Or should I say romantasy since it also has those fantastical elements? Take a moment to check it out and grab your copy at https://amzn.to/47V5sxJ.
