Happy Monday Musings

Good morning! Starting the day with some conference prep! I’ve got to get together items for my giveaways at the upcoming Book Lovers Con and I’ve been pondering what to wear. It’s a fun and casual conference so luckily it’s easier than when I used to have to get ready for one of my business conferences. But there are some costume parties and I’m so not a costume girl, really. Well, except for when I was Scully from The X-Files for one Halloween Hop at my daughter’s elementary school. I’ll have to give those costumes some thought. Then it’s off to the garden to hopefully finish the last of the planting. Yeah! Can’t wait to see it all in full bloom and I’ll share some photos of it soon!

Happy Rainy Saturday

I was hoping to be in the garden but we’re having a rainy day today! A good thing since it’ll help all the new plantings that I did in my little yard and the new flower and vegetable beds we put in at my daughter’s house. But what can I do now? LOL! Sharing some tips on what to do on a rainy Saturday! I hope you have a good day and if you need something to read, don’t forget I have a number of free reads available on Kindle Unlimited at https://amzn.to/41umtbo.

Meet Me at the Book Signing

I’m excited to be taking part in a multi-author book signing on Friday, May 19th from 9 am to 2 pm at the Plaza Mini Mall in Toms River, NJ. The Mini Mall is a blast to the past to the days of intimate local stores in a convenient setting and I believe there is also a flea market happening on Friday. I love flea markets and hope I’ll have some time to check out what’s there! I’ll have copies of my latest releases so you can get autographed copies and I hope you can make it!

Difficult Ups and Downs in Weight Loss

It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted on how my lifestyle change was going. It’s been a couple of weeks of an assortment of events that made being active and eating healthy hard to do. But I’ve pushed on and tried to maintain my new changes as best as I could and the result is that I’m down another two pounds for a total of 29 pounds lost since I re-started my journey after the pandemic. That means I’m past halfway to my goal! Yeah! The one thing I haven’t been able to do is get back to strength training. Sigh. I must do that since building muscle is so important now that I’m older and because that muscle helps boost my metabolism which in turn would help me lose weight as well. If you’re on a journey also, share how you’re doing and any tips for succeeding. For me it’s tracking my calories on my Fitbit app, making sure to get 10K steps, and 30 minutes of cardio every day.

Happy Day of Wine and Romance

I can’t wait until next weekend when my daughter and I will be taking part in the Day of Wine and Romance! Join us on April 29 and 30 at the Brook Hollow Winery for a day of romance novels and tasty beverages. Brook Hollow Vineyard is a lovely place right near the Delaware River and the Lakota Wolf Preserve so there is a lot to do in addition to visiting with us and another 60+ authors. I hope you can make it!

The Shifter’s Kiss Free Read

If you’re still facing a winter chill, how about a story in a tropical location that’s bound to create some heat? I’ve just re-released The Shifter’s Kiss, an erotic paranormal romance about a very unique kind of shifter: a shark goddess. This story is set on a Caribbean island and the idea of the shark shapeshifter came from the Kuna people, who now live primarily on the San Blas Islands. The Shifter’s Kiss is an emotional story about a wounded firefighter who has found peace in the ocean until he encounters a very unusual shark and starts having dreams of an enticing woman. I think you’ll love this story and even better, it’s free on Kindle Unlimited at https://amzn.to/41GqOct. Don’t forget you can also download several other stories for free on Kindle Unlimited at https://amzn.to/43Pt0j9.
