National Pancake Day

Happy National Pancake Day! I confess that when I go to my Sunday brunch with a dear friend, I rarely get pancakes. I’m usually an egg kind of girl, but my precious grandbaby loves the blueberry pancakes I make for him. Of course, it could be the butter and maple syrup on them, but still, it gets him to eat! What about you? Do you love pancakes, and if so, what kind? Plain? Blueberry? Whole grain? I’d love to know! Have a great Saturday. I’m off to do some writing and a dreaded top-to-bottom clean of the kitchen.

Happy National Love Your Pet Day

Happy National Love Your Pet Day! I’m so glad that we rescued Slate, our little cat who’s not so little anymore. He’s such a loving cat and friendly to everyone! I’m also glad for my daughter’s pit mix Lily, who is so gentle and loving with her family. Such a sweet pup! I’ll be at the conference during the day and will check back later, but in the meantime, if you’ve got a pet, please share a photo! P.S. I think you’ll love BURIED TRUTHS, my May release in the Crooked Pass Security series, which features a heroine with amnesia who may be the mastermind behind a multi-million dollar fraud. Or is she? Happy Lunar New Year

Happy Lunar New Year! 2026 is the year of the horse, and according to the website ChineseNewYear.net, people born under this sign are leaders who don’t give up easily and can even be reckless. They are principled people who are generally outgoing and agreeable. Because the horse is powerful and determined, they can overdo it, and so they should keep an eye on their physical, emotional, and mental health. I was born in the year of the dog, which means I am humble, courageous, helpful, and kindhearted. Pretty good, right? What about you? P.S. Besides working hard on #2 in the new K-9 division series, I have a surprise release coming up for you!! Look for it sometime in the next week or so! If you love sports romances, I think you’ll love it!

Galentine’s or Valentines?

Happy Galentine’s Day! My family and I are big Parks & Rec fans, and I love Leslie Knope’s ever-optimistic view on life. I have many female friends and totally value their friendship and spending time with them! But I don’t normally celebrate Galentine’s Day, unlike Valentine’s Day, when hubby and I are going out to dinner for Thai food. It’s not something we normally do, which makes it a special treat. What about you? Do you celebrate Galentine’s Day, or is Valentine’s Day the big celebration for you? P.S. If you love Galentine’s Day and stories about female friendship, ONE SUMMER NIGHT may just be the book for you. It’s the first book in the At the Shore series, which features three friends on the Jersey Shore and how they deal with the loves in their lives. ONE SUMMER NIGHT is specially priced at 99 cents. Happy National Pizza Day

Happy National Pizza Day! I love pizza, and even though we’re trying to watch our carbs, we had pizza on Friday. It was Jersey Shore-style pizza, which means it was quite thin. It’s become our new fav since we downsized and moved to the shore. When I was in school in Philly, the pizza was doughier and not generally sold by the slice, unlike the New York-style pizza I grew up with. What about you? Do you love pizza? Does your area have a unique style of pizza? P.S. If you want to escape the cold, how about a trip down to the Everglades? You can get away by grabbing ESCAPE THE EVERGLADES, which is now specially priced at $3.99. Download your copy today at https://amzn.to/3N9L83e.

National Homemade Soup Day

Happy National Homemade Soup! As I’ve said many times before, I love soup for dinner on a cold winter day. Whether it’s tomato soup with grilled cheese, chicken soup with Matzoh balls, or a hearty ham and bean soup with some of hubby’s sourdough bread, soup makes my tummy happy! LOL! Today I’m sharing a recipe for a kielbasa and bean soup at https://bit.ly/CaridadsBeanSoup. P.S. With the winter chill, even my friends down in Miami need a little soup this week! By the way, if you do love some Miami heat, SABOTAGE OPERATION is specially priced for 1.99 for a limited time! Grab your copy of this exciting story set on a racehorse owner whose life is at risk because she is going to testify against a crooked trainer today at https://amzn.to/4afgT2W.

Happy Groundhog & Tater Tot Day

I love the idea of Groundhog Day because animals really do have a better sense of the environment. This year, with all the snow, I’m not even expecting the groundhog to leave its nice warm burrow. Unless we tempt it with a nice, tasty tater tot, since it’s also National Tater Tot Day! LOL! I love tater tots. I’d rather have them than fries any time. P.S. If you’re hunkering down somewhere warm today, too, why not check out one of my specially priced 99-cent deals, like THE FIFTH KINGDOM, one of my personal favorites. It’s an action-packed story about an ancient relic that could destroy humanity, and the archeologist and CIA Agent in a race to find it before a group of terrorists can use it. Grab this and other special deals at https://amzn.to/4q9o7va.
