Happy National Love Your Pet Day! I’m so glad that we rescued Slate, our little cat who’s not so little anymore. He’s such a loving cat and friendly to everyone! I’m also glad for my daughter’s pit mix Lily, who is so gentle and loving with her family. Such a sweet pup! Happy National Pizza Day! I love pizza, and even though we’re trying to watch our carbs, we had pizza on Friday. It was Jersey Shore-style pizza, which means it was quite thin. It’s become our new fav since we downsized and moved to the shore. When I was in school in Philly, the pizza was doughier and not generally sold by the slice, unlike the New York-style pizza I grew up with. What about you? Do you love pizza? Happy National Homemade Soup! As I’ve said many times before, I love soup for dinner on a cold winter day. I love the idea of Groundhog Day because animals really do have a better sense of the environment. This year, with all the snow, I’m not even expecting the groundhog to leave its nice warm burrow.
