Whenever I want to reach out to my daughter, I find that it’s far easier to text her than to call her. This younger generation seems to respond to texts better than calls. Personally, I prefer to reach out to someone with a call rather than a text. Despite that, I’ve resolved myself to text more with my daughter and some others since they’re more responsive that way. I am not a fan of winter at all. I live for spring and summer and being able to be on the beach or take long strolls along the boardwalk. That’s why I’m counting the days until I can head to the fabulous Coastal Magic Convention in Daytona Beach in February. It’s a fun reader conference and there’s some warmer weather as well! We have a running tradition of spending New Year’s Eve with some good friends. Sometimes we go out for a nice meal but we also will sometimes work together to make a special dinner. It all depends on our mood. After the meal, we’ll pick a movie to watch until it’s time to turn on one of the New Year’s Eve shows and await the coming of the New Year. What about you? This year we didn’t do our traditional Christmas tree routine. Normally we go to the Anne Ellen Christmas Tree farm and cut down our tree. Nothing too big since we have a smaller place now. This year our usual Christmas tree spot is occupied by the baby’s swing so we had to go with the small artificial tree route. But even though it wasn’t a real tree, I decorated it with some cute mini wooden ornaments and lights. Hubby likes all white but I like color so we had both on the tree. What about you? Around this time of year there is always some kind of candy floating around my house for when guests visit and of course, to decorate the Christmas tree. Hubby loves the peppermint candy canes but I hate the flavor of mint so I tend to grab a chocolate. My favorites are those delicious Lindt truffles. What about you?
