One of the hardest things about writing romance novels is writing the love scene. There are so many things to think about. First, when is the right time to do it so it’s believable. Next, you need to make it unique to the characters in that story. Then, just how sexy will it be. Will it be hot and sizzling or a slow, seductive burn? Of course, then there’s the after. Thanks to everyone who chimed in last week on whether they liked to dip or drizzle their ketchup or other toppings on their fries. But today’s This or That is an all important question! What do you get when you have the choice of fries or onion rings. For me, hands down, it’s onion rings. I just love them. And yes, I dip them in my ketchup although I think they would be even tastier with ranch dressing instead. What about you? Fries or rings?

Shoutout to Lori Foster who posted something about this the other day! I love ketchup and use it in a number of ways although the most common is for dipping my french fries and onion rings. Yes, I confess. I’m a dipper. I don’t normally like having the ketchup drizzled over my fries or rings. How about you? Do you like to dip or drizzle? When my daughter was little, our favorite ritual was getting pizza on Friday night, whipping out the TV tray tables, and watching animated cartoons together. Half of our pizza was always pepperoni since that’s my daughter’s favorite. The other half varied but my favorite combo was onions and mushrooms. Some people like to go sweet on their pizzas and do ham and pineapple. I have to confess, I’ve never tried that although I have had dessert pizzas with Nutella and fruit. What about you? Many of the heroes in the South Beach Security series and its K-9 Division spinoff have been military heroes, although I have had a psychologist, real estate agent, and tech geniuses as well. In the upcoming Crooked Pass Security series I also have several military heroes. That made me wonder whether I should change it up in a new series and one kind of hero immediately came to mind in light of current events: a firefighter. I’ll just have to figure out how being a firefighter works into a romantic suspense novel. What do you think? Would you like to see more military heroes or a change of pace like a firefighter? P.S.
