This or That: Do You Love Chocolate Eggs or Jelly beans?

It’s almost Easter, and for my family, that means Easter Egg hunts, Easter baskets filled with chocolate bunnies and eggs, little gifts, and jelly beans! I confess I’m partial to the chocolate more than the jelly beans. What about you? P.S. Did you know you might find some Easter Eggs in my books, like the mention of a restaurant from the SIN HUNTERS series in the AT THE SHORE series? There are a few others here and there for all my friends! You might find more in all my 99-cent special reads (https://amzn.to/4bLx36d) and also in the books that are FREE on Kindle Unlimited (https://amzn.to/3PAt7wv).

Do you love Cowboy Romance or Office Romance?

I have many friends who love cowboy romances, and to be honest, cowboys can’t be incredibly appealing. But I also see the draw of office romances since they have that element of the forbidden, where the lovers don’t want anyone to know they are involved. What about you? Do you prefer cowboy romance or office romance? P.S. If you love office romance, you might like ROOKIE OF THE YEAR, which features a romance between an older female trainer and a young, up-and-coming baseball player. Plus, it’s FREE on Kindle Unlimited and only 99 cents if you’re not. Grab your copy today at https://amzn.to/4cdOJHD.

Do you love Grumpy Heroes or Sweetheart Heroes?

The Grumpy/Sunshine trope has become very popular, but I confess that I still prefer sweetheart heroes like Mark Dillon from BURIED TRUTHS. Mark is a K-9 police officer on a hike when an injured and very confused woman stumbles into his path. Mark jumps into action, only to discover that the woman can’t remember her name or anything about why she’s there. She only knows that she’s in danger. Mark’s protective instincts kick in, and even after it appears that she’s a criminal, he can’t stop caring about her because he’s a really good guy. A sweetheart. Just the kind of hero I like. What about you? Do you like grumpy heroes or sweetheart heroes? P.S. You can pre-order your copy of BURIED TRUTHS today at https://amzn.to/4sHrpb9.

Do You Love Small-Town Romance or Sports Romance?

There are so many different romance tropes that romance readers love, and I think two of the most popular ones are small-town romance and sports romance. Now, some of you may ask, is that why I wrote the Marauders baseball books? Actually, I wrote them years ago and only got the rights back. But because of other obligations, I didn’t get to revise and release them until last month. I love both small-town and sports romances, and I’m not sure I could pick one over the other. What about you? Do you love small-town romances, sports romances, or both? P.S. You can read the Marauders baseball romances as well as several others for FREE on Kindle Unlimited. P.S. Slow Burn or Insta-Love Romance?

There are so many romance tropes that we love! One of my favorites is second chance at love, but I also love stories where it’s love at first sight! Slow burn romances? Yes, I love those also. To be honest, I just love romance novels of any kind, except possibly stories where there isn’t consent or there is harm passing as “romance.” But back to the big question: Slow burn or insta-love? Which one do you love best? P.S. I’ve got plenty of novels with both of those that are now FREE on Kindle Unlimited! Grab your copies at https://amzn.to/4ukO4Lv.

Do You Love Dramas or Sitcoms?

Hubby and I are television junkies. We watch everything from cooking shows to dramas to sitcoms. At night, we’ll watch TV for a few hours together, and after, I’ll watch murder and mayhem for another hour! We normally alternate between dramas and sitcoms, so I can’t say I have a favorite. What about you? Do you prefer dramas or sitcoms? P.S. If you want to chase away the winter chill with a little heat, grab your copies of my Marauders baseball team romances at https://amzn.to/4snCM7G. Do You Love Digital or Paper?

I had a friend who encouraged me to get more organized with tracking dates, goals, etc. Plus, when I saw so many people with beautiful planners filled with gorgeous images and schedules, I decided I’d also get a planner. I didn’t get just one. I got two because I usually have to book/plan for a two-year window. I filled them with lovely keepsakes and photos. Wrote in ink before realizing that dates changed so much that I really should do it in pencil or on Post-It notes. I kept it up for a year, when I realized I could not keep up by using paper. So I went to a digital calendar, especially for my social media planning. Do you use a planner? If you do, is it on paper or digital? P.S. The last book in the Crooked Pass Security series, BURIED TRUTHS, arrives in May, but don’t worry! The series spinoff, Crooked Pass Security K-9 Division, hits shelves with K-9 TRACKER in November 2026. I think you’ll love BURIED TRUTHS, which features a heroine with amnesia who may be the mastermind behind a multi-million dollar fraud. Or is she?
