My family was always into sports! No matter what was on, we would watch it, and we would also engage in many different sports. Whether it was bowling, softball, tennis, volleyball…You name it, we played it! I still bowl and play pickleball to stay active. It’s almost Easter, and for my family, that means Easter Egg hunts, Easter baskets filled with chocolate bunnies and eggs, little gifts, and jelly beans! I confess I’m partial to the chocolate more than the jelly beans. What about you? P.S. I have many friends who love cowboy romances, and to be honest, cowboys can’t be incredibly appealing. But I also see the draw of office romances since they have that element of the forbidden, where the lovers don’t want anyone to know they are involved. What about you? The Grumpy/Sunshine trope has become very popular, but I confess that I still prefer sweetheart heroes like Mark Dillon from BURIED TRUTHS. Mark is a K-9 police officer on a hike when an injured and very confused woman stumbles into his path. Mark jumps into action, only to discover that the woman can’t remember her name or anything about why she’s there. She only knows that she’s in danger. Mark’s protective instincts kick in, and even after it appears that she’s a criminal, he can’t stop caring about her because he’s a really good guy. A sweetheart. Just the kind of hero I like. There are so many different romance tropes that romance readers love, and I think two of the most popular ones are small-town romance and sports romance. Now, some of you may ask, is that why I wrote the Marauders baseball books? Actually, I wrote them years ago and only got the rights back.
