I’m getting ready to celebrate this fabulous nation’s 249th birthday on July 4th! I’m going to head to the beach with some friends and then have a barbecue. Burgers and hot dogs are on the menu for sure, but I’m trying to decide on the sides, namely corn on the cob or baked beans (or both!) If you had to choose only one of the two, which would it be? I need my coffee first thing in the morning when I am writing. It’s comforting and helps wake me up. But when I sit down to write for an afternoon session, it’s a cup of tea for me. Normally, it’s English Breakfast, but occasionally I treat myself to Harney’s Wedding Tea, which is a white tea with rose petals. It’s delicious. I’m lucky to have some fabulous roommates when I travel to conferences. We always have a good time and know just how to live in a small space without tripping over each other. The one way in which we’re generally not in sync is the number of toiletries we pack. Although I’m normally a pack rat, I tend to travel light and take only the essentials. My roomie’s essentials were way more numerous. So, inquiring minds want to know: Do you travel light or do you take everything with you when you travel? P.S. I love the summer months when I can take a stroll along the boardwalk. But I also like to occasionally take out the bike for a quick ride around town. I’m so very happy to say I have a new contract for a three-book romantic suspense series. Now the dilemma is: What to write? Since I finished COLD CASE K-9, #3 in the Crooked Pass Security series, I’ve been toying with doing a spinoff where CPS helps others solve cold cases. But I love my puppers as well. What to do?
